“Like our Brighton home away from home.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 February 2011

My boyfriend and I have stayed at this hotel four times in total now, and we'd never choose another one in Brighton. The location is excellent, with a view of the pier in front-facing bedrooms (which we have kindly always been allocated), and close enough to walk into the main centre of town. The breakfast is ample enough to set you up for the day. The rooms are always clean and well cared for, and warm in the winter. The bathroom is a little tight, but fine enough if you stay a couple of nights or so. The family who run the hotel are so welcoming and go out of their way to help us; they did not hesitate to accomodate us for a second night when we decided to stay on longer. We will be back on our next trip to Brighton!

I really like this hotel. On arrival the staff were really friendly, helpful and welcoming. There was a group of 5 of us that went and 3 of us stayed in the family room, what a beautiful room with a fantastic view of the sea and pier. My friends stayed in a double room which was much smaller but they still had a good view. Location is fantastic right near everything and we didn't have problem with parking. I can't review the breakfast as we didn't get up in time for it lol but overall really pleased and would definitely stay there again :D

It states that this hotel has been renovated recently, but it didn't look that way. The furniture looks as though it has been thrown together, and is all mismatched. The rooms are so tiny you can hardly walk round the bed or sit on the toilet, but it you ask for a sea view, it makes it all worthwhile. The view of the pier day and night was lovely, and our room had 2 chairs in the window, which was a nice touch. Our friends room was at the back which was much quieter but also smaller. The shower was far too hot to stand under, but when I told them they said they would sort it out. The staff were very good whenever we had a problem. The mattress was far too hard. The breakfast was basic, cereal, toast and fry up. I think they could add a bit more variety to cereals, bread etc, but as another review said-you get what you pay for. The location is good, close to the pier and Kemp town, but parking is quite tricky. We couldn't find a car park very close by but you can park for free on the roads nearby on Sunday, if you can find a space, we couldn't. I wouldn't stay again, but if you can get it cheap enough, its fine.

Stayed here for 2 nights, lucky I was with a great bunch of people or would of left and not stayed the 2 nights. As you enter there is a strong smell of curry. I personally like curry but not to have the smell constantly around me. The rooms were shabby and could do with an uplift. Beds not very comfortable. Breakfast is adequate. Owners very friendly and polite. Made us all feel welcome. This is situated in great location looking onto seafront.

Enjoyed a night at this hotel. Price is very important and I paid £35 for a single, ensuite. It was modern, clean, quiet, well located and a good brakfast was included. I am going again. Apparently, a new family management has taken over, renovated the place, and is doing a good job. You could not ask for more at that price.
