I booked this property for 10 people having a 2 night stay over the May bank holiday weekend. Our hosts were very accommodating and even left us a crate of beer to get the weekend started.
The house is situated down a quiet country lane behind electronically locked gates, which gave a comfortable and secure feel. The house is surrounded by plenty of grass and enough parking for several cars (we had 3 which fitted comfortably with plenty more room available). The house provided the wow factor as soon as we entered, our group was running around taking it all in like a bunch of excited children (we were a group of 10 adults). Our hosts gave a brief tour and left us to it. The house was absolutely immaculate and boasted a large kitchen with 2 ovens and plenty of surface area to prepare and cook meals. The front room has a large sofa, big enough to fit most of us on with plenty of chairs to deal with the over flow (2 of the sofa seats recline), there is a large flat screen TV with Sky & Sky Sports included. The bedrooms are all spacious and very nicely put together. The master bedroom has a view of the surrounding countryside which is a real treat first thing in the morning.
The town of Shaftesbury is a 10 minute drive away and has plenty of places to eat and drink.
In summary, the house was absolutely wonderful and I’d highly recommend it, especially for larger groups looking for somewhere to get away to. I’m even considering making it an annual trip!
