We had a fabulous sever called Lewis who was extremely friendly and helpful who made everyone laugh a little more. I would strongly recommend this restaurant

This hotel needs refurbishment, the conservatory entrance is a disgrace. Room 10 is tiny, the decor tired and no sense of fresh cleanliness about the room. Thick fluff in the radiator under the window. No minibar, no air con, no sound proofing. Orgy going on in the next room all night on the Saturday, definately more than two people in there. Breakfast and evening meal ok, nothing special. Drinks were nicely served and staff attentive.

I went along to urban beach with friends this evening. We have been there a few times before. The service was really slow. I arrived earlier than my friends so ordered a drink as they were running late. A good twenty minutes later I was still waiting for my vodka and soda. We had a lovely meal and spent a lot of money on cocktails and every round was a 20 minute wait. So at 1020pm.while we were waiting for a lift home we ordered another round of 4 cocktails.. 20 mins later the waitress informed us that they are no longer serving cocktails after all on a Saturday night!!! Food was lovely.. Service terrible. Spoke to the manager took a while to get a sorry out of her. Lots of excuses though. We feel they need extra staff on to cope. We won't be returning

We went as a family of 4. It was cold so we choose to eat indoors. It was the first cold snap of the year and my girls still felt a bit chilly. Mentioned it to Ruti the waitress. A few minutes later she had someone firing up the log burner and offered us a table closer to it.
All with a great big genuine smile and a sense that she really wants folks to have a good time.

The food was great. Three atmosphere was Great, even when one of the customers brought a little dog in who howled along to Maroon 5 playing on the sound system. Hilarious.

Great little place.

We have been coming for a few years now. We love the friendly relaxed atmosphere. We have stayed in a few rooms and they are all really comfortable. Our target is to stay in all of them😃

We generally eat out in the evening but have at least one “ in house” meal which never disappoints. Breakfast is really good - I really look forward to breakfast!!

WiFi can be a challenge for residents as it can “ dropout” but usually a request to staff will result in a reboot of the router. Mildly irritating in this day and age but not enough to marr a stay here.

Be prepared to possibly search for parking as it can get busy and they won’t reserve parking for residents. That said, unless you are here for the air show, you can usually find street parking nearby if you cannot get into their car park.

All the staff are so friendly and really will do whatever they can to enhance your stay, which in our experience as prolific travellers is not always the case. We love this place and the lovely seafront walks, so we will continue to come back.

Well doneUrban Beach Team!
