Description: The Urban Reef is an informal bar, cafe, deli and restaurant located right on the beach. We have our own farm where we grow much of our own produce and we're passionate about local, ethical and seasonal food. We have some of the best views in the country right over the bay and are just a few metres from the sand. Cafe by day and restaurant by night with our own in house baker and incredible coffee we look forward to looking after you anytime of the day. We're fans of praise in public and criticise in private, so any problems, ideally email the owner Mark we'll try to make things up to you. Any praise then please tell TripAdvisor and the world. All the best x

Urban Reef rocks. Beer is London prices , however, food is fab as is the ambience. We were always made to feel welcome. Families are well catered for too. In the Urban Cafe at night treat yourself to a pizza from next door. Gorgeous. This is now our favourite place for food & drink when we're down Boscombe ,/ Bournemouth

It's located right on the seafront .Beautiful to sit and eat over looking sea. There is an upstairs restaurant and balcony looks smashing BUT not for the first time we have sat and sat waiting to be served once my carpark ticket was nearly out and I had to go back and put money in they actually gave me the money for ticket!! Today we were seated upstairs and we waited and waited eventually we were asked if we wanted a drink, which we ordered and twice we had to ask where it was ,then we had to ask a waitress if we could make our order and she said yes after they had taken one from some people who came in after us And had been served their drink!!! when it came my friend had 2 separate dishes and had to ask for a plate to eat it off.it was 50 minutes before we were actually got the food.No salt and pepper ...on and on and on .As I say it is not the first time this has happened .Shame as it is really nice in there.

Another local haunt for us, we love everything about it! The vibe, the food, the service. It’s all fantastic!

It’s located perfectly to enjoy both summer breezes or watch a winter storm!

Kay’s cakes and goodies are beyond compare in the local area and she’s a bit of a legend (is she actually real?!)

Food pricier than the pub nearby, but you get what you pay for so always annoys us when we hear the tourists say “fish and chips is only a fiver over there!”.
Yeah but their waiters don’t know what fish it is, when they came in, if they’re sustainable etc. and they do at Urban! Plus it’s cooked better and a much bigger portion size.

We love this place! We love the hug club, we love Urban! ❤️

I have eaten here several times as it is a particular favourite of my sister in law. The menu is varied and there are several vegetarian options - I recommend the halloumi wrap and the vegan chocolate loaf. It always seems to be busy even when the weather is bad and so service can be slow but the atmosphere is great and the views are fantastic.

This restaurant is split into 2 downstairs come and que and upstairs with a booking. Same menu same staff. The setting is beautiful with great views. The menu is big and the food is taste. Staff are friendly. Unfortunately we had to wait 50 odd minutes for our food but we had time just a shame we were forgot, staff were not great in correcting the problem. Have been before many times for lunch, tea and dinner - cakes are really good and will go again. Mainly as there is no-where else to eat by the beach around the area. But they do do a great job and they are always busy
