The Silverback is one of the new breed of micropubs in a former shop. These places are great, offering a variety of eclectic ales, ciders and spirits in a homely setting. There is no bar, and you order direct from the friendly and knowledgeable staff.

The Silverback carries a well-balanced range of ales, and with games, no music and no TV, is a great place for a conversation or a read.

Although they carry pies and bar snacks, they are happy to provide plates for your takeaway, which is a wonderful concept. A good curry with an outstanding ale (instead of mass-produced lager) is a delight.

Thoroughly recommended - can’t wait for my next visit.

We regularly visit the Silverback for a few after work or weekend drinks as they offer a great beer selection which is ever changing and always fantastic. Although I'm not an ale drinker, I'm also well catered for as they serve Conker (a gin distilled in Dorset).

The pub is dog friendly with lovely staff and although small, we've never struggled to find a seat. Yes it's no frills but it offers a great change from the usual chain pub!

Fantastic micro pub, with a surprising amount of seating! There's something very authentic and charming about this place; since it opened just over a year ago it's developed a lot of character. It's a very friendly place to drink, and the staff are lovely. They even remember what I drink each time I go in!

I live really close to the Silverback Alehouse and visit for a quick beer most weeks. The staff are really friendly, as are most of the customers.

There is normally a wide selection of beer, not always ones you like but that's the beauty of trying new stuff, occasionally you find a real gem.

They do a three beer, 1/3rd of a pint taster selection which is always a good option. Along with the pork pie and a pint for £6.

Kids are welcome till early evening ~ 8.

They also allow you to eat take aways in the pub, so long as you are drinking - genius

What is there not to like.
