We decided to book a last minute weekend away, and selected the Buckingham Lodge based on reviews that we had read on several different web sites, and we were not dissappointed at all. Steve and Nicola were the best hosts we've ever met, really down to earth and so helpful. We felt right at home from the first minute we arrived. The Buckingham Lodge is so nice, clean and welcoming, and is in the perfect location for everything you need within Torquay... everything was within easy walking distance. The road that the guest house is on is fairly quiet considering it's a main road and we had a really good undisturbed sleep for the two nights we stayed. Breakfast was superb, everything we wanted to eat... and filled us up well into the evening. We loved it so much there, we will be going back again next month for another break.... What more can I say, highly recommended for anyone looking for the perfect break in Torquay. Thank you ever so much Steve and Nicola

Room Tip: We stayed in room 2 which was at the back of the hotel, and was perfect for the two of us. Lovely and clean and the bed was very very comfortable.

The welcome we received was so friendly, Steve and Nicola were very helpful during our stay and made us feel like we had known them for years. The room was spotless and so fresh, modern bathroom and plenty of room. Breakfast was amazing, plenty of choice and the full English was cooked to perfection. The area was quiet but so close to the town centre there was plenty to do. Really enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: I stayed in room one, fantastic size, and lovely view.

We only met Steve but he couldn't have been more helpful. Steve and Nicola stepped in to save us as the B&B we had booked let us down at the last minute and we had a wedding to attend.
We had 3 rooms for our party, two doubles and a single. The standard of decoration was good with modern bathrooms and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good and plentiful.
The area is very quiet but close to the town with plenty fo restaurants and pubs within walking distance
I did find the rooms a little on the small side, Ok for a couple of nights when we were out with family all the time. I wouldn't like to spend a week in such a small room although I think some of the other rooms are a better size. Value for money it was very good.
