“Lovely House In a Great Location”
Reviewed 23 August 2017 for a stay in January 2017

The house itself is within a short drive of the city centre of Plymouth, and was perfect for our needs. The moors a short drive one way, and the sea a short drive the other. Quiet location and Mike and Nikki were very accommodating. Would stay again.

“A warm welcome to a stunning house”
Reviewed 15 March 2017 for a stay in November 2016

I have stayed in this room on several occasions now and have always had a lovely warm reception from Mike and Nikki. The location is very easy to get to, very quiet and absolutely stunning. The room is extremely spacious and very well kept. I will be returning as soon as I can.

“Sadly, not what was expected”
Reviewed 27 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

At best this accommodation might be described as an eccentric. Sadly it fell short of expectations based on the one previous review. The accommodation was not well maintained. In the bedroom there was a broken light fitting with a hazardous piece of jagged glass sticking up from it; and the television set was not working. In the bathroom many of the lights were not working, a piece of the floor edging was loose on the step into the bathroom; there were no hand towels, no bathmat and no waste bin.

Breakfast was a haphazard business, which meant several trips for us down from this attic bedroom to request basic things like plates an knives etc, and then eating a minimal breakfast on our laps since there were no adequate table and chairs for that purpose in the bedroom and no other breakfast space was offered. Finally, even for an english summer the duvet provided was far too heavy and hot.

Some of the points raised in this review are correct and the reasons they occurred have been taken on board and addressed .
Many guests have stayed here and at our waterfront apartment in Royal William Yard, where breakfast is not provided in line with the majority of this type of rental.
We do offer breakfast at the Manor House to give extra value rather than just a room .
Bookings are made through Holiday Letting and also Airbnb .
The vast majority of our reviews are 5 star which is what we aspire too .
On Airbnb we are shown as super hosts
On this occasion we mixed up dates and arrival times. As a result the repairs had not been carried out and the suite which is a large third floor double bedded ensuite room with a lounge area (certainly not an attic , there are a further five rooms in the same floor) was not properly prepared....plates cereals etc had not been put in place .
The suite is a large room almost 10 meters by 6 meters one of 5 rooms on the third floor of a Manor House with a king sized bed furnished with a tempur mattress .
There is a lounge area with very large L shaped settee LED tv and stereo .
It is comparable to a large hotel room with tea and coffee making facilities with the added benefit of juices cereals , toast and croissant . We had not provided separate table and chairs as we felt it unnecessary and would make the room seem overcrowded .
No other guests have not suggested or requested a table and chairs. However we are re-considering following this review .
During their stay, requests from the two gentlemen for plates etc were immediately dealt with they were friendly and appeared happy .
We were not made aware any of the other problems hence had no opportunity to deal with them or to apologise .
We are at fault for mixing up dates and times causing the room to be badly presented and resulting in two clearly unhappy guests .
Had everything been in order on arrival we're sure any other problems would have been brought to our attention at the time rather than in this review .

“A superb and stunning place to stay”
Reviewed 24 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

To start I would like to say that this room was booked as an engagement surprise so I needed flowers in the room with a nice bottle of champagne which did come at an extra cost obviously but perfectly done and well worth it. They were quick to reply with any questions and easy to contact. The owners met myself and my partner (now fiancé) on arrival and showed us straight to our room, explained what time breakfast was and how we could come and go as we please then left us to it. The room was perfect and exactly as the pictures show. Very clean and nicely layer out. The view from the room looks right at the front garden which was lovely to see in the morning. It was close to Plymouth town and easy to get aim and out of town with a short taxi ride. I was realy impressed with the room, the service and how helpful they were. They couldn't do enough for us. I would and already have recommended them to others. We both look forward to staying again in the near future
