“Beware!”

We stayed as a family in this apartment it was in a good spot as a base to travel into Cornwall by ferry which is why we chose it, and to see the Firework Championships in Plymouth during our stay.
The apartment was Clean overall and had most kitchen equipment supplied the only thing we missed was a microwave.
Bedrooms comfortable however no windows in the bedroom made it very stuffy at night so we had to keep the doors open to ventilate, maybe some air conditioning should be added as the whole apartment reminded us of a hotel bedroom and would be more suited to couples than a family.
Plenty of Tv's however beware if bringing a Wii for entertainment as they are Samsung and are not compatible with fittings even after purchasing leads whilst away.
Some DVD's or games supplied in the apartment would be useful for familys of an evening.
We chose the apartment for the WiFi connection which was intermittent and only accessible in certain areas of the apartment, luckily we are with BT and could access on the Pubs internet below on BTopenzone.
We did find a couple of times that as we were directly above a Pub that noise and smoke meant we had to close the door and window to relax in the apartment. You could even do the quiz on a Monday evening whilst sat on the sofa!
Parking was a 5 minute walk away in another building which didnt make it easy when unloading and loading the car although secure.
The final straw came when we didnt receive a full refund of our deposit and feel we were scammed by this company as they accused us of breaking a chair and damaging the wooden floor which we are totally disgusted by as we left it in pristine condition! This damage had obviously been there for some time and had been caused by previous guests or the cleaner after we vacated early on the Friday. I wouldnt use this company again as what other excuses would they come up with to hold onto their extremely high deposits!
Book at your peril! We have yet to get our full refund and wonder how many other people they have scammed before!

We are disappointed with the review and feedback on the damage to the property. The apartment on initial hand over was shown by the property manager to the guest and reviewed. All rooms shown and condition noted by both parties. At the end of the guest’s stay one of the swivel chairs had been spun on excessively causing the chair to break. Rather than inform the property manager as per the booking conditions and call the property manager to have the chair removed / replaced during the stay, the chair was used regardless throughout the week grinding holes into the lounge wooden floors. On inspection at the end of the guests stay there was sawdust across the floor and severe damage. The cost to the owner of the property was considerable, as such a modest token was deducted from the guests damage deposit of 50 %. It was regarded as a more than a fair offer and a good will gesture with a partial return to the guest. The cost of the damage to the floor was 7 times this to the owner, replacing the floor would be even more. This guest was obviously upset, and would not accept responsibility for the care of the apartment during their stay, sent threatening correspondence and phone calls with ultimatums, threatening further action and issued a poor review.
As per booking terms and conditions with any rented property the condition of the property is the guest’s responsibility during there stay. The apartments are expected to be in the same condition when handed back as they are when handed over. Wear and tear is acceptable but not wilful unreported damage. Wilful and unreasonable damage by guests although does not happen very often, is not acceptable to owners of properties or Luxury Sea Views.

Luxury Sea Views is a respectable and professional company offering high quality and high specification accommodation.

Yes the Royal William apartment is in a great location in Plymouth in the Royal William Yard. The apartments are prepared professionally and cleaned on a weekly basis.
Microwaves are generally not supplied for HSE reasons.
The apartment is in a renovated Heritage 1 building, protected, installation of windows to the rear of the property are impossible and air conditioning is not possible.

Yes our high specification apartments are furnished to a high standard and comparable to a high quality hotel. We offer serviced apartments, a direct alternative to a high class hotel with more space and better value for money.

Yes there is a 58 inch plasma Samsung TV with Blue ray player and surround sound in the lounge. There is a 37” inch led TV with blue ray player in the master bedroom. And a 37” TV in the second bedroom.

Wifi is a good signal all around the apartment and can even be logged onto outside on the marina quay. However if you are not familiar with Wifi, there is a bt open zone in the area and most lap tops will zone in on this as the preferred. You have to review what is available on the Wifi on your laptop or similar, and select the apartments wifi and login.

The Royal William Apartment is conveniently above the Seco Lounge, located in the heart of the development and access to all the facilities. Seco lounge is a lounge family bar bistro offering tapas, coffees and wine / beer.

Yes there is a quiz on Monday night between 20:30 to 22:30 in the Seco lounge. Very popular in Plymouth and recommended if you like quizzes, many families, guests and residents attend. With the windows and balcony loading doors closed in the apartment the noise is to a minimum. However, with windows and balcony loading doors open you are subject to any noise within the development from boats, people etc. The complex is a heritage 1 site, as such the walls, opening balcony loading doors, windows etc are all protected.

Parking is available on the Royal William Yard site and complex. Again as a heritage 1 protected site built in the 17th Century, the layout of the buildings and parking of the area’s can not be changed. The complex has 24 hour security with regular patrols with delineated parking areas. The apartment is facing over the Marina with the evening sun.

For information: The Royal William Yard in Plymouth originally conceived by Samuel Pepys when he was secretary to the Navy in the 17th century and constructed by Sir John Rennie between 1825 and 1831. Designed as both a factory and supply depot for ships victualling needs, here the Royal Navy refuelled with rum. It continued to supply right up to its closure in the early 1990s, which has now been redeveloped into a world-class development.

The Royal William holiday apartment is centrally located on the Plymouth waterfront, close to all attractions and facilities.
