I visited this restaurant with my parents on the way down to Dawlish and we were warmly welcomed upon entry and shown to a table. Our server, Lisa gave us time to browse the menus before taking our order and once ordered our food and drinks arrived in good time. The food itself was delicious, hot and with a 40% off coupon too, made the visit even better value for money.

Our server, Lisa was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. If we’re ever in the area again, we would be more than happy to return.

Stayed just one night. The room was first class as always with Premier Inn.Decided to have evening meal in the Beefeater.I went for the mixed grill which came pipping hot and was delicious. The staff were very attentive and welcoming.Would be happy to recommend.

My husband and I have just returned from a two night stay in the Premier Inn next to this Beefeater hence our visit over two nights. This Beefeater is relatively clean although the tables are quite sticky from previous guests. We booked our evening meals online and so although it was not hugely busy we were guaranteed of a table. As per our first visit about 18 months ago, I ordered a meal which yet again did not include all the ingredients as per their menu - a bugbear of mine - don't like being misled !!. My husband's lasagne lacked flavour. We also chose the same starters but which were priced differently - our waitress took our order and only advised us (just by walking past us with a comment - not actually talking to us) that as we had chosen from different menus we would be charged different prices. The waitress should have told us this when we were ordering our food and not when it was too late to change our order. It was ridiculous that we were both eating exactly the same starter but with one being priced at £2.79 and the other at £5.69. We ordered a couple of drinks and were not given the option of which brand of spirit to have - we were automatically given and charged top end. On the second day we popped in for a pre meal drink and sat at the only spare table and which was full of the previous guests glasses and crisps packets. Eventually a member of staff came over and took half of the rubbish away but left the other half on the table for the duration of our visit - not impressed ! The tables are also sticky due to not being cleaned enough between customers.

Whilst staying at the Premier Inn next door for 2 nights we took advantage of the meal deal. This was great value for money. The steaks we ordered we the best we have had . They were cooked to perfection. We were served by friendly staff particularly Taylor on Saturday evening.
All of our food was served hot and it was well presented. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation

We travel from Torquay to Exeter as the three local Beefeaters in Torquay, Paignton and Newton Abbott are not well managed with poor service and poor food so we would rather travel to Exeter as the food and service is so much better. We would recommend that you try the countess Wear Beefeater as the service is relatively quick and so far the food has been perfect so we are impressed
