It is a lovely spot. The pub inside seemed a bit tired but the outside is right by the river and some nice beers on offer for a much needed walking pit stop.

Didn’t order any food though but it was busy enough!

Beautiful location on the riverside - sat outside on wooden tables. Food was fine but nothing special. Also thought prices were a little higher but that’s due to the location. Very busy at weekends so enjoy the walk and come back for a drink and a bite later on when the crowds have gone or cream tea.

What a lovely setting. At the end of a single track road with plenty of parking. The inn is right on the river. The portions of food were big and not overpriced. It was very clean and tidy and all the staff were welcoming. Surrounding it was plenty of picturesque walks. Well worth a visit.

In the middle of know where although very well known locally. Beautiful location beside the river. No through road, which keeps traffic to a minimum. Part of the National Trust Teigne gorge area. Beautiful walks along the river, to Castle Drogo and Clifford Bridge. Totally unspoilt with plenty of wildlife. Rutting Deer, Pheasants etc. Warm welcome, Lovely log fire, with good choice on menu. Caters for walkers and diners alike. On a wet tuesday lunchtime in October it was full inside. that says a lot. We had baguettes, but they were very tasty.
