“AMAZING HOLIDAY”
Reviewed 25 August 2012 for a stay in August 2012

There were 13 of us aged 21-24 we stayed at harbour heights. It is a beautiful well maintained house. The lady in charge (Ann) was so helpful and she shows you around on your arrival and will you give you details of places to go and see. The information she gave us was very useful and if there were any problems then she was available to talk at any time. The price for the holiday was reasonable as well.

Activities-Luckily we went away when it was sunny so we went to the water park (cost about £9 for 2 hours, plenty of time or you pay £11 all day. If you are with a large group you can get discount) and beach in paignton and we went to bantham beach. Both about 30 mins away from the house. We went crabbing which i think everyone should do.
At Blackpool sands (beach not to far) is a pebble beach but ideal for water sports.

food and drink-We went to a number of restaurants which are all in walking distance but in the house there are cooking facilities and there is a lidl and sainsburys not to far away. There are a number of bars and pubs by the harbour and down the side streets. We wanted to go to one place called belini but didn't get the chance. Suppose to be really nice they sell cocktails and have a pianist in the bar.

the house- beautiful house with amazing views from all the bedrooms. The house contains all the essential things you need such as plates, glasses, toilet roll. you do need to bring your own towels though. the house has towels but only hand ones.
there are a number of STEEP hills to walk up but If you don't fancy walking up them you can always catch a taxi back up which cost £2-3

I would definitely return again!!!!!!! :) BEST 5 DAY HOLIDAY

“Fabulous views”
Reviewed 5 August 2012 for a stay in July 2012

We had a fantastic week here in July 2012 to celebrate two special family birthdays. The house suited us perfectly. There were three families and the accommodation gave us some space if needed combined with perfect family entertaining. The views from the balcony were simply stunning. The walk back up from town is hard going but as taxis are readily available and worth the £3.00!! The house is fitted with everything you could possibly need for your stay and Ann was so friendly, helpful and always available should you need anything. We had the most perfect holiday here and as regular visitors to Dartmouth we would thoroughly recommend a visit to this beautiful place.

“A real holidays”
Reviewed 28 July 2012 for a stay in July 2012

My family, including two young grandchildren (3yrs & 17 months) have just returned from a memorable holiday in Dartmouth. Ok, the weather was perfect and it was great to all be together, however what really made the stay was the spaciious and well equipped house. We all had space and the children slept well due to being undisturbed in their own rooms. Jawbone Hill is a challenge but not impossible even pushing a double buggy, if too much for you there is always the taxi option.

I can honestly recommend this rental and judging from others comments I am not alone in coming to this conclusion.

“Takes Stunning Views To New Heights”
Reviewed 22 June 2012 for a stay in May 2012

Although there is much to praise in this accommodation the one lasting memory you will have is the view. Dartmouth is such a picturesque town and Harbour Heights affords you the perfect vantage point to drink in the scenery.

The only disadvantage of this view (and of the property) is returning on foot to the location from the town centre. Atop an extremely steep hill, the walk back is challenging for someone of average fitness that at times I thought I might need a Sherpa.

Fortunately we were advised by Ann, the owner of Harbour Heights, to take taxi backs (which cost only £2.50 due to the short distance it was from the town centre) - I definitely concur that you do the same.

I was part of a large party of eighteen however you never felt on top of each other due to the considerable size of the location. In fact it was possible for the night owls amongst us to continue partying long into the early hours while not disturbing the less nocturnal from their sleep.

Each bedroom was well furnished and spacious. The bathrooms were clean and modern. However during our stay the main hub of activity was the lounge/dining area which provided a perfectly comfortable location for us to relax-in despite the large size of our group.

On arrival we were warmly greeted by the owner Ann who gave us a whistle stop tour of the property and gave us a number of helpful tips for out stay (where to eat, drink and of course get a taxi when travelling back) before leaving us to get on with our weekend. I also received a very friendly email from Ann that made me feel that if I did have any burning questions to ask her about the property or Dartmouth she was there if we needed her. However she has provided such a wealth of information regarding the area at the property that this was not needed.

I fell in love with Dartmouth that weekend as it is a beautiful seaside town but I realise staying in this splendid accommodation massively played its part.

“usp - view view view”
Reviewed 9 June 2012 for a stay in June 2012

just spent 5 nights over the Jubilee holiday at Harbour Heights with extended family - aged 1 - 89!!
had atrocious weather but every time you glanced out the window it gave you a holiday lift!!
Ann was wonderful over the whole booking process ( we were so indecisive over numbers + dates ) and was really helpful with information + ideas
Marie prepares the house so that it gleams
the house is extremely well stocked with china, glassware + utensils
there is a fridge and a decent size fridge freezer and a very efficient dishwasher
if you are intending to cook for a large group be aware that the oven is a single which is also the grill
Dartmouth is a great choice for a varied group as there are so many options like with visiting Greenway ( home of Agatha Christie ) you can go by ferry or heritage steam train or drive
highlight for kids was the crabbing - one evening in the harbour they watched shoals of mackerel and a seal
planning to return to do some of the walks in the area and enjoy the sands and ferry trips - hopefully in better weather
