Reviewed 2 September 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Very helpful owner and spotlessly clean and tidy apartment. If you want to stay in POrt isaac look no further, don't forget to visit Padstow and Rock via ferry from Rock. Best pub in area in Port Gaverne beautiful Sunday lunch.

“Lovely apartment in a beautiful village”
Reviewed 28 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

This is the third year we have stayed at The Old Bakehouse as we love it so much. It is right in the centre of Port Isaac near to the pubs, restaurants and shops. The apartment is clean, light, airy and very well equipped and a perfect base to explore North Cornwall. There are some great coastal walks right on your doorstep. Graham has been very flexible about booking dates and responds quickly to emails which makes the booking process very smooth. I would highly recommend The Old Bakehouse .

We have just returned from a lovely week staying at The Old Bakehouse in Port Isaac the property itself was perfect with all mod cons and it was lovely and cosy. The location was also ideal. Graham the owner was really helpful and a pleasure to communicate with. We would definitely stay there again and loved Cornwall so much that we did not want to leave!

How easy was it to book the property? How helpful were the directions to the property?
How easy was key pickup/access to the property? Overall condition of the property

Liked best: The peace and quiet!
Liked least: The long walk up the hill to find parking!

The Old Bakehouse is the perfect location in Port Issac, only a few paces away from the beach and shops and yet quiet in the apartment. Port Issac is beautiful with fantastic scenery and costal walks.

“Perfect!”

The Old Bakehouse is perfectly located right in the centre of Port Isaac. It's extremely well equipped, very comfortable and homely.

None of the things below concerned us, but if you intend to stay here be aware that a) it's on the top floor of three and b) the nearest place to park a car is about 300m away up the top of the hill. We had no problem parking outside for 5 minutes or so when we dropped our stuff off and picked it up.

Port Isaac is absolutely lovely and I would recommend it to anyone particularly at this time of year or away from the busiest months. I can imagine it gets very packed in the summer. It's an ideal base for walkers and there are good bus links to Tintagel (10 miles by coast path one way) and Polzeath ( 9 miles the other way).

We were fortunate enough to see the Fishermen's Friends, playing for free at the Platt one Thursday evening.

We had excellent crab from the fish market and really enjoyed an evening pint in the Golden Lion, looking out to sea. We had very good fish and chips there too - and it's about 20 metres from the Old Bakehouse!

Graham is very helpful and we were even given a complimentary bottle of wine to enjoy with our fresh seafood supper!

Many thanks for a wonderful stay!
