We had eaten a good breakfast, driven over to St. Just and Botallack Mine area, walked around in the wind and rain and were looking forward to visiting Gino's as we had noticed it the previous afternoon while walking the Promenade. What we hadn't noticed, however, was the open/closed times. By the time we cleaned up a bit from the rain and mud (this was the only rain ~ about three hours worth ~ we experienced in England for the 10 days we were there so I'm certainly not complaining) and walked to the restaurant, it was closed and wouldn't open for abut three hours.
We decided to just walk a bit and pass the time and were the first patrons inside as soon as the doors opened! Service was good but not exceptionally fast (maybe we were just famished) but the wait was well worth it. Salad, pasta dishes, garlic bread, fizzy drinks ~ all were great.
The place was filling up fast by the time we left and I can understand why ~ I would certainly stop by again if ever in Penzance.
