“Lovely modern apartment, great location with top service!”
Reviewed 1 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

This apartment has everything needed; well stocked with utensils and entertainment, great location close to town and beach (still quiet at night) with stunning views. I booked with Cathy very last minute but was very impressed with prompt replies to arrange the booking.

“Excellent apartment, all that you would expect and more.”

We loved this place, it was well appointed with all of the mod cons. The weather was not great for our stay but the apartment was nice and comfortable so we were happy to hang out and watch the tv until it cleared up. Would definitely stay there again.

“Wonderful apartment, fantastic location and very helpful owner”
Reviewed 26 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

This holiday was for myself, my husband and our 18 year old son. My son was meant to be bringing a friend to share the twin room, but the friend was unable to come at the last minute. However, my son found things to do which suited his interests. He plays guitar and was able to play at 'open mic' nights in two or 3 of the bars in Newquay. This apartment, 21 Horizons sounded too good to be true, but it really is a fantastic choice. When you are spending what to us is quite a large sum of money for a peak week holiday, you do hope you've made the right decision. Cathy, the owner, answered all my (many) questions very promptly and also gave additional information about suggestions for things for my son to do.

Firstly, parking is in the secure basement in your own space, so NO parking costs at all. So if you weren't really intending to go out of Newquay, you can park the car for the week and walk everywhere.

Secondly, the apartment looks great in the photographs and its even better when you're inside. Its extremely well equipped and very nicely presented. Very comfortable sofas and the most amazing view from the living room area. You don't even have to venture onto the balcony for the view, you can see through the glass panels while sitting on the sofa. There are full size wardrobes in both bedrooms with plenty of space to store your empty holdalls / suitcases. I believe the apartment would suit a family with 2 young children and I feel sure I saw a travel cot too in the cleaning cupboard.

The location: Well this is the best part about this apartment. You can either go down the lift or the stairs to get outside and then walk less than 5 minutes down the hill (through various little short cuts) and you're in the town centre which is jammed full of shops, bars, restaurants, pasty shops (of course!), cafes, pubs and some hotels. Just off the town centre, its about 5 minutes walk down into the harbour area. If the tide is out, you can then walk along into each of the lovely beaches which make up Newquay. Coming back out of the harbour area, walk about 15 minutes westwards to Fistral beach. All the different beaches have their own character. Then when you want to go back to the apartment, you only have to look up from anywhere in the town and you can see Horizons, so you can't get lost! You can also see Sainsburys from the living room!

If you want to go out of Newquay, its only 5 minutes drive to the main road out, then you can head off to Padstow, St Ives, Penzance and many other lovely places quite easily.

As a side issue to the apartment, we loved 'The Beached Lamb Cafe' a little hippy style cafe on the way to Fistral beach.

We got back from our holiday on Saturday 24th August and Cathy refunded our £100 security deposit on Sunday 25th August.

The apartment is faultless and I feel sure that if there was a problem of any sort, you could contact Cathy and she would do her best to sort it out straightaway.

Just a point to mention about the location; for senior citizens or those who may be infirm, its worth bearing in mind its a reasonably steep slope down to the town and the beaches and of course, uphill on the way back.
