Very well located guesthouse a few minutes walk from the centre of Newquay, ten minutes from Fistral Beach, and maximum 20 mins from the station.

Room was large, bed was comfortable, bathroom was perfect. Only slight problem was that the room [Cotehele Suite] had small windows with no curtains directly opposite the bed which mean you wake up the moment the sun hits them in the morning. Take a blindfold.

The room in itself is nothing grand - feels a bit like a bed dropped into the middle of a living room - but it's big, has a decent TV, and was generally pretty quiet.

Breakfast is served at a table in the room but we didn't take this option, preferring instead to walk five minutes to local cafés. Friends of ours reported the breakfast to be "okay".

I'd probaby rate this place a 3.5/5 but in the absence of that option i've gone up to a 4.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay, we have stayed here before and been very pleased and made to feel more than welcome. However this time it all seemed totally different, we were staying in the self catering apartment B, although stated it slept 3, it was far too small for 3 people, we found the decor very shabby, there would b no way you could attempt to cook on the hob, as there was just not enough room, in fact being quite tall it was difficult to stand up straight in most parts of the room! Also we felt the step into the apartment quite treacherous as there was a piece of the Tarmac missing, the parking was a nightmare, we were asked to move our car at 9.45 in the morning, told to park it elsewhere until the car in front of us had left! Which didn't happen to be until midday! Also as there was no one to greet us when we arrived, we felt quite put out to be told the next day ' you owe us £90 for the room' ! Overall very dissapointing.

Just had a lovely time in newquay. Hotel is in a good place. Just around the corner from sainsburys. We stayed in the towan suite. Which was more like a big room. The decor was lovely and relaxing. The bathroom was as big as back home. The Jacuzzi is a must. Breakfast is served to your room, which is nice. The hotel would benefit from a reception area. Would recommend.

Just got back from a long weekend in Newquay. Have been to Newquay before but first time staying at this hotel.
Very impressed. Was very reasonable on price so was wondering what we'd get for our money! We were pleasantly suprised. Clean, comfortable rooms. Quiet at night. A well maintained hotel.
There were 4 of us so 2 shared a double superior room and 2 were in a studio room (converted garage seperate to the main hotel). Both very clean and comfortable. Only downside was the studio room smelt quite badly of damp.
Location was good too. Not right in the town centre so was nice and quiet at night, but close enough to walk to all the main shops, bars and restaurants. Literally a 5 minute walk.

Would stay here again.
