“Perfect Cottage in the heart of Mousehole”
Reviewed 13 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Myself, my partner and my two dogs had a perfect time at Sue's cottage in Mousehole. The House was perfectly located for exploring Mousehole in a quiet street. The parking was invaluable on the little streets. The cottage was well equipped and had everything we needed, the little bottle of milk for our arrival was a lovely touch. The beds were comfortable and the cottage had everything we needed. Very close to the local Legion pub and the harbour as well as Mousehole's Shops and restaurants. Sue was a pleasure to deal with and everything went very smoothly. We will definitely be looking to come back and Cuckoo Cottage is recommended.

“Lovely traditional cottage. Lots to do around Mousehole. A packed week!”
Reviewed 24 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The cottage, which is really well equipped, was exactly what we wanted. Right in the heart of Mousehole. A couple of minutes from the beach, cafés, pub, shops.
The parking space is very handy, and easy to get in and out of. We found driving in, rather than reversing in, much easier!! Loved the power shower!! Big freezer very handy. Several big supermarkets in Penzance, just ten minutes away.
Had really good contact with Sue by mail beforehand. Much appreciated!
From Mousehole, we visited St Ives (really good bus service from Mousehole to Penzance and then Penzance to St Ives. Came back on an open top bus (17a or the 17b...), St Micheal's Mount (go early!), the seal sanctuary, cliff walks (Lizard), the Minack theatre (fantastic views and lovely short walk down to Porthcurno beach. The car park for the theatre is free if you're paying to visit. There's an honesty box for donations if you're just using the beach), Lands End (we enjoyed the 4D cinema!), had a good meal in The Ship Inn. Wouldn't hesitate recommending both the cottage and Mousehole.

“A wonderful base for enjoying magical Mousehole”
Reviewed 31 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Returning to Cuckoo Cottage after around 10 years, this time with our two young boys, we remembered why we love Mousehole so much. Bringing the boys added to Mousehole's charm, as we appreciated the safe little beach in the harbour, where we spent many sunny hours. The history and stories surrounding the town make it a memorable family holiday, with plenty of things to do (the free things such as walking to Lamorna Cove and playing on the beach were definitely preferable to some overpriced 'attractions' such as Lands End). The cottage itself is well equipped, comfortable, and has the massive benefit of parking (negotiating Mousehole by car is not for the faint hearted at times!). It was cosy for the four of us, but very good value and the boys were thrilled with the proximity to the harbour! Thanks for some magical family memories.

“nice cottage, great location for exploring S.W. Cornwall”

We loved Cuckoo Cottage and sitting in front of the log fire in the evenings was special.. Village shops nearby for basics and cheaper supermarkets in Newlyn and Penzance just a short drive away. Noisy seagulls in the mornings no alarm needed and narrow streets to negotiate but all good fun and part of the holiday. The owner was very helpful in sending us all the information and directions and the cottage is perfect for a family 2 & 2 or friends. Well equipped kitchen and everything works. No complaints about our stay and would recommend to anyone. Favourite days out were St. Ives, St. Michael's Mount and walking the coast path at Kynance Cove.

Gorgeous traditional cottage in a fantastic location, we loved our week stay here, the open fire was lovely on cold nights and parking spot was an added bonus. We didn't want to leave, would highly recommend. Good communication from the owner too.
