We had a very enjoyable 2 night stay in Chester. It's somewhere we had wanted to visit for years and it was especially good to take in the model village of Port Sunlight which is about 20 minutes away by train.
Old Abion was just perfect for our requirements. It was warm, well equipped and excellently located inside the city walls for the main attractions of Chester. With bags it was about a 20 minute walk from the station.
Sarah was extremely helpful and answered all our questions promptly. We would certainly recommend Old Albion to anyone wanting to visit the old city of Chester.
A beautiful cottage on a pretty and quiet street, just steps from the historic city walls and around the corner from the Roman ampitheatre ruins. Fantastic location for visiting Chester's historic sights, shopping, restaurants, and an easy walk from the train station.
The cottage is very well presented and furnished and has everything for a comfortable stay, including some lovely touches including luxurious towels, a coffee machine and a good selection of books and dvds. Highly recommended.

Very pretty well equipped cottage very close to all the shops, restaurants and bars. The road it is situated on is very quiet but you are only a few minutes walk to the centre of Chester and the Roman ruins.
I didn't bring my car but chose to travel by train which worked really well as there is a bus service from outside the railway station which runs every few minutes and stops a short walk from the house.
