Grooms Cottage has a lovely light, airy living room, huge bathroom and good layout which makes up for the rather small bedrooms.
The kitchen is very well equipped, with plenty of crockery, glasses, etc and lots of tools we did not use, but would be useful for an extended stay.
When the refurbishment is completed it will be an even better place to stay and we look forward to having an opportunity to see it again next year, as it was wonderful to have a swimming pool all to myself for a while!

Stopped with my two daughters, Grooms cottage sleeps 6 so 3 of us found if plenty spacious. Only one bathroom may make it restrictive for a large group. The kitchen was equipped with everything I you'd have at home, bedding and towels provided were spot on. Being in the same building as the pool made access in inclement weather no issue. Location was ideal for touring the area but car travel is essential as there isn't anything in immediate walking distance and the road doesn't have a path. My only negative, and given the reasonable price it's probably relative, the carpet was a bit grubby and a bit of titivating around the cottage would have freshened it up, also don't think the pool area was cleaned daily. All in all excellent holiday, great value for money, tip - use the park and ride into Chester,
