Really poor decoration and facilities although it was cheap rate £35 per night excluding breakfast ( continental breakfast available on request at additional cost ) this hotel needs huge updating and I found myself in attic room 4 or more flights of stairs no lift and bed was no better than camp bed
No curtains on windows and lots of condensation
Very poor

Is there anything about this hotel to like? The room smells of dead mice. The twin bathroom doesn't even have room to swing a cat. One pillow on the bed. Room is so outdated.

Dirty, sleep with your clothes on and avoid at all costs

Have stayed before over the past few years. On last visit there was a mix up over rooms for booking but we all make mistakes.

Hotel does need a makeover. However it is friendly. A lady who works there has been there for 10 years and it is like seeing an old friend.

You do pay for what you get and the hotel is clean but does need a make over. a TV and coffee/tea making facilisities are in room.

If you want a better hotel then pay extra. You pay for what you get and I consider it very good value .

As we aren't from the area, we pre-booked a double room here after a lovely day out at Chester Zoo, what an awful mistake that was! Let's just say this, we checked out only an hour or so after checking in because this place is so rundown and outdated!

For those of you wondering, no refund at all was given or offered which is annoying but I assume that's standard procedure across most hotels, so I'm not really complaining about that. The lady who checked us in and out is very rude and got all shirty with us, when we asked to check out because we weren't satisfied with the room. She did offer to try and help stop the people in other rooms from banging on the walls but, on this occasion that wouldn't have made our stay that much more comfortable, considering the people on the street outside were being rowdy too.

Bed sheets and pillows are clean but the beds themselves are stained. The Carpets are old, worn and dirty. The Rooms smell musty, dusty and damp and are very old and rundown! Not all the lights have shades either and the pull cords are wearing too. If you've got the windows open I wouldn't bother closing them, it won't make a blind bit of difference to noise levels or temperature in the room as they are that old, broken and cracked everything gets in anyway!

Overall very disappointed, we won't be staying here EVER again and we won't be recommending anybody else to stay here either!

Seriously, stay well away at all costs if you can!

Booked for Gin and Vodka festival and decided to stay over. Booked through Booking.com. Hotel was in an ideal location, staff were very friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean but hotel was quite tired looking and no shower apart from hose on the taps. Perfect for a one night stay. Would book again.
