For the price this hotel is fab. Stayed here many times. It’s so close to everything in Cambridge. Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff so helpful (especially Vanda :)). We enjoyed a good breakfast the following morning too. Highly recommend to anyone wanting an overnight in Cambridge.

The front of desk staff were very polite and helpful. The room was too hot and noisy what with being next to a main road. The bed squeaked every time you moved and you could hear the people above walking around due to squeaky floorboards. The toilet was not very clean. The cleaner did not make up our room on one of the days we were there and interrupted us the next day even though the disturb sign was displayed on the outside of the door.

3 of us stayed here on a Friday night as we were seeing Soul 2 Soul at the Corn Exchange. Smooth check in & friendly staff on arrival. Immaculate room. Had a few drinks in the bar before & after the show. Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. All in all a great value stay.

I was staying here for two nights. Room was fine. However .... left hotel at half seven in morning to go to work. Returned at half eight at night to find room completely as I left it. Not made up or cleaned at all.
No one from housekeeping available.
Had to change room.
What a pain!!!

My third stay here with my wife and surprised to see so many negative reviews. I've not had a problem. Stayed Friday and Saturday night, left my car in the car park (£6 per 24 hrs) and walked the 1 mile into Cambridge to eat and drink. We don't have breakfast or drink in the bar as I'd rather go find places with a little more character. Standard room was fine, clean and modern on the 4th (top) floor and facing away from Newmarket Rd which is quite busy. Had a bit of an issue with the 48 hour Wi-Fi login but this was sorted out in reception. It is a bit annoying to have to login each time you open your device (ipad) but that's probably more to do with Virgin Media than the Hotel. Yes the reception staff are all young but they are friendly and helpful, it's all relative, remember what you're paying...

Room tip: I would recommend top floor facing south (away from Newmarket Rd)
