Located slightly out of town but easy to find. Ample car parking. Our room looked out of the back of the hotel across a lake with rabbits eating the grass just outside the window. Very peaceful.
Clientele on a Saturday night were mostly families and tourists, the bar area seemed popular whenever we walked past.
Free wifi for 6 hours in the reception/bar area.
Slight negatives were that walls were quite thin, could hear someone coughing next door all night and their alarm going off in the morning. Luckily the neighbours on both sides were considerate so no disturbance but you could be unlucky. Mattress was pretty soft and, despite pillows each having a "hard" and "soft" tag attached, weren't particularly plump.
Breakfast buffet was passable but not a patch on the Premier Inn competition. Choice of cereals, toast, croissants & muffins and yoghurts. Alongside cooked choices of sausages (good), scramble egg (chewy and over-cooked) and beans. No bacon though, how odd?
It was okay for a one night stopover if your going to Cambridge for a night out or attending a wedding for example, but I wouldn't want to stay much longer.
