We stayed from the 14th Sept - 16th 2012 as part of a hen weekend. Upon arrival we were really impressed as the bar and lobby area was beautiful. They have a really cute library area where you can read or take drinks.

We were checked in the second we got there, something we really appreciated. Rooms were well appointed and spotlessly clean. The bathroom had the wow factor. The only gripe I would have is that the room need more mirrors, not easy for a group of girls to get ready.

Breakfast at the hotel was second to none and boasted a wide selection of hot cooked breakfast and lots of continental choices, e.g. pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, toast, cheese and meats. Really could not fault it.

We had drinks at the bar which are pricey but what do you expect in a 4* hotel. They did have BOGOF on cocktails from 2-7 though.

Hotel was extremely central so a great base for going out for food and drinks. Outstanding hotel, cant wait to return!!

After a wait to check in arrived at a dingy room on 4th floor, even dingier after dark owing to trendy but ineffective lighting. Sat in semi-darkess in in restaurant owing to failure of a whole bank of lights, still no repaired when departed 6 days later.
Breakfast was a joke. Find your own table, fetch your own pot of coffee then cook your own toast, if you can wait 5 minutes for the only toaster to cook your toast. Good range of food when you were not faced with empty dishes waiting to be replenished. Needs a good resaurant manager to sort things out.

Room Tip: Higher rooms have more light as they are not surrounded by other high buildings and are further away from weekend noise.

This hotel is situated within a few steps of the ferry boat main stop and bus stops. The open top tour bus also starts outsied the hotel.
Good size rooms, we upgraded to executive room, which overlooked the square. Good double glazing ensured no noise from buses etc could be heard. Large bathroom the whole room being well appointed and clean.
Air conditioning worked well and was not particularly noisey.
In house restaurant,Italian, provided us with good hot food served by pleasant staff. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice be it fresh fruit, cornflakes etc, or full English.
Would certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a high room with a veiw over the city.

Most recently, I stayed here a little under one year ago. Check-in was not efficient, with the desk not being able to find my reservation. Eventually, I made my way to my high floor room, as requested, which looked out onto some paneling and a mossy flat roof. Why on earth this wasn't mentioned when I asked at check-in for a view of the city if possible, I'm not sure. In fact, I really don't understand why hotels insist on putting windows in rooms if they're only to provide a source of natural light. I'd prefer to constantly use lightbulbs than look out onto that, again. Nevertheless, the bed was very comfortable, the room clean and well appointed and the shower was superb. The biggest pro and con of the hotel is probably its' central location. It's true that you're a minute from the waterfront, if that - but you're also in the seventh inner circle of hell on a weekend night in this area. It can be horrendous. Still, you can't blame a hotel for its' surroundings, but best to be mindful of them before booking.

Perfect hotel for business or leisure in the heart of Bristol. Close by Temple meads train station and a busstop right at the doorstep. Stayed here a while ago and have to say this hotel is Fab.
Nice comfortable rooms ( large bathroom) and good breakfast! Very friendly staff! specially housekeeping and reception!
The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because my room didn't had a view... I was located in a weird angle of the building and overlooked, nothing... However I will recommend this place and stay here again!

Room Tip: Ask for a room at a high floor so you can enjoy the harbor side views!
