Average is probably a bit harsh but it wasn't Very Good either so don't feel I can give 4 star rating.
Food choice wasn't extensive but thats often a good sign. Soup starter was good, water melon and beetroot salad, was nothing special. We both opted for steak and were told it came either rare or well done, medium rare wasn't an option ! We opted for rare, dish was reasonably well executed, side order of chips not great. Fortunately puddings were a lot better. We had 1 beer and a mocktail. Total bill £71. To be honest I've had worse but I've also had a heck of a lot better for £71.
Service was not particularly polished but adequate. I think Harvey Nichols is trading on its name and probably has quite a loyal following. I'm sure the management won't be too disappointed that a couple of overweight middle aged guys wearing their best M&S won't be beating a path back any time soon.
