Friendly help staff nothing too much trouble. Pet friendly, our dog had his own cooked sausage each morning! We stayed in one of the outside rooms, a little tired, needed redecorating and updating. Breakfast and dinner of a good standard. Our second stay and we will be back again

Room tip: Outside rooms are away from the road

Very warm welcome and the staff throughout our stay were attentive and friendly. The room we had was away from the main road so very quiet. Each day the room was tidied and fresh towelling etc. was provided. We had two evening meals which were well prepared and of good value. The breakfast was included and we were able to chose (within reason) whatever we wanted. All together an hotel we shall probably return to.

Room tip: The annex rooms towards the rear are probably the quietest.

I'm writing this pre a nights sleep shower or breakfast. I'm disappointed. Yes the amount I paid for this was good value. Good value for what was offered. Tbh the tv is unwatchable.- Stodhard states pauses freezes n waste of time.

The restaurant was closed when we arrived just after 5. The bar closed at 8 on a bank holiday weekend.

The windows in the room either don't open or are painted shut. The one that does open won't stay open so yes we borrowed one of your books to wedge open.

Bathroom small but adequate. No issue.

Room small but would be adequate if you could open door to enter rather than open door it hit the bed so you both scurry into the area available and then close door before you venture further.

Room far too hot in this good weather further aggravated by windows.

Noise an issue as could hear the conversation in bar in bedroom.

Pillows hard but will do.

Went out. Found that Key did not open front door n had to sneak in via kitchen. No communication as to how to get back in.

Room decor tired. None of furniture matches. Wall needs painted. Furniture needs repainted as chipped.

Bedding towels clean.

Perhaps breakfast will make it up.

Shame as was booked as treat for us as we rarely get night away together.

Shame

Stayed for three nights April 2018. Room was separate from main building, not very big with stained carpet, windows and doors were rotten due to condensation, very disappointing. Fortunately the bathroom was well cleaned and towels were beautifully white but the room needed a thorough clean including the carpet, walls and paintwork and radiators.
We did have one evening meal which was ok but no atmosphere as we were the only people there.
The stair carpet going to the upstairs rooms was badly torn and a trip hazard.
Breakfast was nothing special, no fruit salad, some fresh fruit did appear on the second morning, but milk in a plastic bottle on the table, not a good idea.
On the last morning all the staff were scruffy and kept walking through the dining room all the time.
The one redeeming person was the young man who served us on Thursday and Friday who was very pleasant and polite although he did like his mobile phone.
The dogs in the next bedroom were annoying barking during the night and early morning.

Felt well looked after right from the start, they were kind enough to give us an upgrade too. Friendly staff, room was nice despite a couple of minor maintenance issues (broken arm of chair and door handle coming off the door). Decent breakfast in the morning. Would recommend for sure to the very reasonable price.

Thank you for your review and we a glad that you felt looked after by our staff. Your feedback has been very helpful and I can personally say that the strongest of glues has been used on the arm chair so that it will never break again!
