“Magical holiday”

The house in Bomba is just as advertised, in a very typical, but particularly friendly village, good access to autostrada for visits to beach or mountains. It is such good value for money. A few little food shops and one locals bar, where we were welcomed, and greeted like friends after the 1st visit (at midnight on the night we arrived after a very long journey). Most days a fruit/veg seller would set up stall, and on Wednesdays the Porchetta van comes, amazing rosemary spit roasted chicken or pork stuffed with herbs, really very good. Local wine beer and food so cheap, and top quality. The lake was closed due to landslides earlier in the year, so was the local pool but it wasn't a problem. The San Mauro Sanctuary was closed too but the local carabinieri organised someone to come with a key to take us there. We ate in with breakfast & dinner, lovely coffee and fresh bread, at night eating local food & wine, (which is so incredibly cheap) sat a the kitchen table with the door open and various people popping in to help us with our Itallian & to say Ciao. Our trip was more of an adventure than a holiday, we felt as if we lived there. The odd dog barked but almost added to the atmosphere!! Well definitely go back.

Hi, thanks for kind words. I've emailed you direct with special offers for long term rentals as you have requested, please let us know when you are ready!
The pool in the village is actually open July / August only, but it is a good pool and very reasonable. The porchetta and chicken van is our favourite as well, easy dinner for all the family! Look forward to having you back, kind regards

“Great Place in a Wonderful Location”
Reviewed 4 August 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely little townhouse. Very clean and great air conditioning when needed. Its on the main street in the little town of Bomba. You can walk to the center square where the townfolk hang out in the evening or to buy a cup of espresso in the morning. The views from the rooftop deck are amazing. This is a great place and I hope to return again some time.

By the way, the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. I left a Kindle in the unit, and they are mailing it to me.

“Bellissima Casa Bomba!”
Reviewed 18 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

This was our second visit to Casa Bomba and we enjoyed it every bit as much as our first!
The house is in an ideal location - it is in a quiet position but not far from the main road that takes you to the coast/mountain villages/supermarkets/restaurants etc in a very short time. It is situated very near the centre of the village (with easy parking, not always the case in Italy!) and a five minute stroll takes you to the piazza with all the amenities and characteristics of a typical Italian village. The locals are very friendly and pleased to welcome visitors.
The house is very comfortably furnished and well equipped, and feels very homely. The spacious terrace is wonderful, with superb views over Lake Bomba and the mountains, and as it faces south and west one can enjoy the sun, and then stunning sunsets.
There is something for everyone to enjoy here - lovely unspoilt and uncrowded beaches, fascinating little towns and villages, ancient castles and remains of Roman cities, an even older megalithic wall....and of course one can simply relax at the house!
This really is the ideal holiday home. Thank you so much Anna and Simon.
PS Although WiFi was not available in the property, it was easy to go to the town hall for the password to use WiFi in the piazza...and this all added to the charm!

“Bomba. Bell'Abruzzo.”
Reviewed 12 September 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We, the family, two adults and two children came by car from Russia and two weeks vacationing in Bombay. We loved it. Great home with all the amenities. Clean fresh mountain air. The beautiful terrace with views of the mountains and lake. In the house is not hot. Calm and quiet village with a nice and helpful people. Around a lot of places that you can see. Sea with various beaches. Delicious food in restaurants and pizzerias. And what's the delicious cheese, lamb and olive oil! Near free parking for cars. In order to understand this you have to be there. We will definitely come to Bomba more than once.

“Bomba, Abruzzo - a perfect holiday with lots of opportunities”
Reviewed 12 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

If you are looking for perfect relaxation I can warmly recommend you a little mountain village Bomba in Abruzzo. The village itself is so "local" with just a limited number of services, but in fact, that is exactly what makes the village so special. If you wish to forget all bustle in normal tourist resorts, here you can just slow down and let time fly by. We spent most of our days just laying on the nice big terrace with beautiful view, reading books and following everyday life - how church bell rang every day on specific time of day, how pigs nearby went 'grazy' when they were fed or how there became total silence in the village when daily siesta time started. Highlights of our day was to walk over to the bakery nearby and get some fresh bread in the morning and have a late afternoon cafe latte on the piazza and follow how locals started gathering to the piazza for evening.

The village Bomba´s location is just perfect. If you do not want to stay in the village all the time, there are so many places and different attractions nearby - beautiful beaches, idyllic little villages one after another and also many tourist attractions if you wish to visit some of them. The nearest airport is in Pescara, but we flew to Rome which was about 3,5 hours away from Bomba. However, it was very easy and fast drive from Rome to Bomba, and we loved all mountains around on our way.

As said before there is a limited number of services in the village Bomba, but if you wish to eat out or have a bigger range of groceries you find them only about 20-minute-drive away.

The Casa Bomba itself was very nice place to stay. In fact, I can´t really identify anything we missed - it worked perfectly in our case.

Thanks Anna & Simon - you have found a perfect place!
