Why 'A'? it is not just a snug harbour inn but 'the' place to stay in Ucluelet if one loves quietness and solitude. From the private deck we felt like being the only people on the Pacific Rim. The view is truly beautiful and relaxing. The rocky private cove 75 steps below is the frosting on the cake.

Room tip: all rooms have fantastic views

Thank you for your compliments. I am so glad you enjoyed the quiet and solitude of our inn. We felt exactly the same when we first came here as guests and still feel the same after 17 years of living here. Every time I look out the window I can't believe that our view is so spectacular and that we have our own private beach that we can share with our guests. Hope to see you for another relaxing visit. Sue and Drew.

We stayed there for the third time; everything was perfect as always. Sue had a new kind of cake on our last day, which was especially delicious. She gave us a choice of room when we checked in, and we ended up taking a room that we hadn't booked.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review about your visit last weekend. It is so rewarding for us to hear from guests who return for a third time...to us this is the ultimate compliment. The bread pudding with the grand marnier syrup that we made on your last day has also become one of our personal favourites. We really hope to see you again in the near future. All the best to you both. Sue and Drew.

We had a lovely relaxing get-away. Beautiful house, set on a cliff looking out to sea. Views from every room, accessible walks, beaches, town, etc. Sue and Drew were exceptionally good hosts, helping us out with getting a car repair done, suggesting great restaurants, and making our stay relaxing. Lovely room (Atlantis), yummy breakfasts, and great cakes every day for our afternoon tea. We'll come again.

Room tip: All the rooms have lovely bedding, great views, decks, and privacy.

Elizabeth,

It was wonderful to meet you and Norbert and help you celebrate your belated Anniversary. I am so pleased we had the Atlantis room available for another night so you could stay with us while your car was getting fixed.....brakes are definitely something that have to be in perfect working order so you can really enjoy that lovely drive through the mountains. Hope we see you for your another anniversary.
Sue and Drew.

This was our first experience of staying at a B & B. I am so glad we finally tried one, as we definitely will try to get back to this place. We were greeted by Malcolm when we got there. Malcolm is a beautiful German Shepard that was standing at the half door where you check in. Sue and Drew were our hosts and you couldn't ask for better people.
Our room overlooked the water and the rocks with a large deck. We had a large jetted tub in the bathroom along with a shower and heated floors. Our bedroom had a fireplace along with two leather arm chairs and then in front of the window was a small glass table with two chairs. We had a very comfortable four poster bed with a wonderful duvet on it.
Bnoculars are provided in the room along with house coats and special towels for the hot tub. An ice bucket along with wine glasses was provided in the room. In the large common room was a dining area with a fridge that everyone was allowed to use. There was a Keurig coffee machine which was plumbed in with different coffees. Lot of cups and glasses of different shapes were available to take to your room. Sue baked a fresh cake every day which you helped yourself to. Every morning was a different breakfast. One morning it was a breakfast pizza, the next was baked eggs and the third was a breakfast wrap. A different smoothie was served every morning with breakfast.
Also in the common room was a pit with a fire place and lots of sitting. There was also another table where you could play games which were provided and a couple of arm chairs. There was also a very powerful set of binoculars on a tripod which you could see an extra long distance with. There was a hot tub right outside the patio doors which was available any time.
Sue gave us recommendations of different restaurants which we tried two and were very happy with. We would recommend this place to everyone.

Room tip: our room had a view of the rocks and the water and some trees. We were right off the common room so didn't have far to go for breakfast.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a flattering and detailed review of your stay. Malcolm definitely enjoyed greeting you every time you came our door and I am sure he was big part of your reason for enjoying your first B&B experience. He certainly has an affectionate way of welcoming guests. I know your stay was to celebrate your last chemo treatment and we were all happy to share that celebration with you. Hope your health improves. Looking forward to seeing you on your next visit. Sue, Drew and Malcolm.

Stayed 2 nights. Was totally above our expectations and we knew from previous reviews it would be awesome. Great view of ocean and rock islands from our window. All the info anyone would need of the surrounding area and top things to see and do. Great breakfast to start the day. Highly recommend!
