Love this aquarium!

The displays are all local and are "catch and release". They return all the animals to the ocean... read more

The staff was really nice and helpful with information about the catch and release aquarium.
The kids loved the small tanks where they were allowed to touch everything after they washed their hands.
Even for the adults seeing an ocopus or touching an urchin was quite exciting.
We really enjoyed our afternoon there and can definitely recommend a visit.

Went here and it was very affordable. $25 for an adult and two kids. But it was very small. There was about 5 touch tanks but the only thing they really had in them was starfish and rocks. But there was a little exhibit on pollution. And when we went there was also an octopus a it was really cool. And the costumer service was friendly and seemed to know they’re facts. Recommend for family’s with young children.

This is one the better aquariums to visit in BC. Much smaller than most, but has quality displays and tonnes of touch tanks. My boys have grown up on the west coast and enjoyed learning more about these animals. We also saw things we haven’t seen before. We loved their jellyfish tank.

I've been to a couple of aquariums so far but this one is extraordinary. They are open from March till December each year and release their animals back into to the when they close in December. I think this a great idea and should be introduced in other aquariums as well. They also have a nice gift shop were I bought a great book.

This aquarium can be seen entirely in 30 minutes or less. (Bummer!) It is well laid out and really fascinating. As it is a catch and release aquarium it is all local marine life from the harbour. Great staff who are super helpful and well informed. We would have loved to spend the day in here if there was more to see. Very well laid out and lots to touch for the kids especially.

Thank Ashley W
