We needed a spot to stay because our reservation was on the late ferry from Horseshoe to Langdale and we wanted a place close to the ferry. It served the purpose. It was okay, though the clerk when we arrived (9:00pm) had either been asleep or had been celebrating the long weekend, and was distracted and a little less than informative about the easiest way to get to the room. This is not the place if one needs disability accommodation (which we did not). It was clean.

Found the hotel in one of the web search tools, searching for a relatively cheap place. And what a pleasant surprise.Great location, close to some of the prettiest areas we saw on our trip.Lots of restaurants within walking distance ,as are a few supermarkets .
Hotel rooms are pretty good.Quite spacious with a very handy kitchenette.
Pool area is a real plus,Very clean area with a very convenient bbq and outside seating areas.

Our room was nice and large, everything was clean & bed was comfortable. Having the kitchenette was great. Grounds and pool area were kept clean.

Rooms were a little out dated but nothing overtly horrible. Would have liked an alarm clock, wine opener (hubby called front desk & they brought one immediately) in the room. Rather than stove top burners, maybe replacing with a microwave would be the only downside. We would definitely stay again and recommend others to book as well.

We did not have a reservation when we arrived here in July 2016. We were travelling as a family, with my husband, myself, my 88 year old mum and our 7 year old grandson. We found this hotel and they had two rooms that were lovely right by the pool. The rooms were spacious, had a two beds and a fireplace in each room as well as a kitchnette and a good sized bathroom.
Although we did not have a chance to use the pool, it was in a lovely little courtyard just outside our doors.
We would stay again.

We stayed 3 nights, check in was quick, owners I found very friendly. Dark and a little outdated rooms, but clean and comfortable with small cooking facility in the room (two burner stove/fridge)
Lovely large soaking bath tub, with two double sinks which was nice, great water pressure. Pool was clean and sparkling, courtyard area was large and very nice for family and friends to gathering, picnic tables to enjoy lunch or dinner. Continental breakfast, pretty straight forward, but all you need, tea/coffee, cereals, toast, bagels, fruit, hard boiled eggs and yogurt. Downhill walk to Gibsons Landing, which means an uphill back, otherwise a 5 minute drive. Great Langdale ferry access.

Room tip: All rooms on the lower level by the pool, especially if travelling with others
