We came from Montreal on Friday evening so that we could spend Saturday on the lake and bring our dog. The place is exactly like on the photos. It's not fancy, it's old, but it has charm. We got room 17, which had a new mattress and a view on the lake. It was quite comfortable. The other side is more like a motel, and it's facing the highway so I think you could probably hear cars in the distance. Be warned, there are a lot of families with young kids, so there will always be crying sounds! If you bring a dog, make sure it is not agressive or unfriendly towards kids, obviously. The breakfast is simple and self-served in the kitchen area, and we took it on the balcony. The best part was obviously the private beach area. It wasn't too busy, there were plenty of canoes and pedalos (although the row boat only has one paddle left). There is a grassy patch in front of the water access which serves as the beach, and it's quite nice. The water is clear, warm, and the shore was not very muddy. Engines are allowed on the lake, so there are some grassy algue at the bottom, but they can easily be avoided and the lake gets deep enough quickly. Overall this was a good alternative to renting a cottage, especially since we were last minute. The owner took some time to chat with us and she was nice. I get the feeling she is not a dog person, but the fact that she allows/tolerates them on the property is much appreciated.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the lake don't have highway sounds, but may have kids running on the balcony in front of your door.

It's a wonderful quaint motel run by a very sweet caring couple. The husband gave me all the information I requested and best of all spoke English. Most of the other places I stayed at in Quebec only spoke French. Out behind the motel is their private lake area where you can swim, canoe or pedal boat free of charge. The price was also one of the least expensive places in the area. All in all a great stay.

We booked for two nights on the back of Trip Adviser reviews, and were looking forward to a peaceful weekend on the lake. Our hearts sank when we first arrived: there was a stale smell in the main corridor and children everywhere. Our spirits soon lifted, however, thanks to the warm welcome we received from the hosts, our room at the end of the corridor (spacious, quiet, overlooking the lake), and the facilities (communal kitchen, bbq’s, free canoes, boats, pedals). We reminded ourselves that we were in a 2* hotel, paying 2* prices, in a great location on the edge of a beautiful freshwater lake. Once we started to appreciate all that it had to offer, we noticed the lovely hanging baskets that we!d failed to see on arrival, the additional facilities, and the benefit of our part of the long shaded balcony.

This is a great place for families, groups of friends, and skiers in the winter.

But we a couple, and our stay coincided with that of a large family group of @ 30 people with lots of children of all ages. Our plans to cook were thwarted as they prepared huge meals through the weekend..... the cause of the all-pervading smells in the corridor. So we bought ready cooked food rather than fight for space in the kitchen, and ate breakfast in our room when they had took over all the dining tables and work tops preparing food for later in the day, Whilst it’s nice to see children enjoying themselves, there was no getting away from it: they took over the garden and private beach from dawn to dusk. In fact, the only way to enjoy the peace of the lake was by paddling up it in a canoe..... fabulous.

So, would we return? Yes, so long as it’s not a warm weekend or a school holiday!

Wish we could have stayed longer here as the only day we were here we were greeted by rain and cold weather. The hosts were wonderful and took time to explain us about the property and things to do nearby. We traveled with our 5 year child and had booked a smaller room, but the hostess upgraded us to a twin-queen bed room with lake view. This was a delightful gesture and ensured a good sleep for all of us. Beds were comfortable, Rooms were clean. The Motel is children friendly. There is a lawn with swings and some toys for kids. The private lake and free boating facilities is a bonus. Sad we could not enjoy those due to rain. View from the room and lake is awesome. Sufficient amount of free parking in front of the motel.
It is a 15 km drive to the Mont Tremblant village and another 20 km to the National park. However, you can skip the national park if you are short of time and avoid all the botheration with excess mosquitoes in the national park. If you drive to the town, try Antipasto Italian restaurant for some great food and historical ambiance.

The only reason I did not give the motel a five star rating was breakfast spread and quality. We decided to drive to a nearby McDonalds instead. Wish the hosts can look into this aspect to make it a perfect motel.

We stayed one week in the Boisé du Lac Hotel and it was clearly the best stay near Mont Tremblant. The owners are very friendly and they do all their best to make your stay unforgetable.
The location is wonderful, the rooms and the whole motel are very clean, and the best: you have boats and pedalos on the lake, free to use.
The prices are the best you can get near Mont tremblant, and the value for money is also really worth it.
We wanted to thank again the owners for always being so helpful and kind to us. They were always there for us, for good advices, for renting us their phone when we needed to call somewhere, or for offering us a free shuttel to town.
Thank you for all your help and for making this stay so perfekt.
