This B&B is a bit out of the way, but commands a nice view.
We arrived on a rainy day and were concerned with the slipperiness of the steps going down from the driveway to the B&B entrance. We stayed in the heron's roost room.
The rooms were tidy and the facilities (kitchen, TV etc) were all working and modern. Bathroom was great. Washer/dryer available for an extra fee, which was disappointing.
It was a cold day, but despite turning the heating down, we could not get the room cool enough to sleep. To make things worse, the bedding was all polyester, including the polyester-satin sheets. Ewgh!
We were offered home cooked muffins and bread ... and were then given the same out of the freezer ... to be defrosted. We would have rated this higher, if it were not for our pooor sleep due to the bedding.

We are a very small B&B with only two rooms. We live on the property and are available 24/7 for our guests. It is very unfortunate that our guests did not let us know about their discomfort. We have 100% cotton sheets available and would have been very happy to have changed the bedding - regardless of time of day or night! The bedding that was used on the bed had been requested by previous guests. The suite has windows that open and in each room there is a theromostat that can be adjusted for temperature. The bedroom window is, in fact, a fire escape window so the opening is very large. There are opening patio doors in the living room. All windows are screened. In the winter the suite should be able to be cooled off very quickly. Laundry can be used by guests but we do suggest a contribution of $3/load to cover cost of soap and hydro. We just wish that our guests had mentioned their discomfort to us so that we could have made their stay more comfortable. If we don't know there is a problem, we can't fix it! We are happy to accommodate individual guests needs - in fact, we cater to guest requests.

Out of town, set up on a hill, not secluded, but it has a great wide open view of the ocean & mountains. Even the smaller "room" we stayed in is really a studio, with a small kitchenette and a big bathroom. Lots of items for self-serve breakfast, including fresh eggs. Garden and bird feeders attract lots of hummingbirds, enjoyed some relaxing time on the deck in the evening watching them. Unless you really want someone serving you breakfast, this is a great place to stay.

Room Tip: If you want to cook, choose the roost room, as the kitchenette in the smaller room only has microwave, toaster & fridge, no stove.
