“AMAZING place to stay!”
Reviewed 10 April 2012

All staff very friendly & professional. Our room was on the 2nd flr, overlooking the St. Lawrence. The view is spectacular! Room cleanliness was outstanding. Loved the fireplace & jacuzzi tub. The tile warmer in the bathroom was a very pleasant surprise. Would stay there again in a heartbeat & would definately highly recommend it.

On Friday before Easter my wife and I arrived in Gananoque from Ottawa. We stayed for 2 nights until Easter Sunday in a clean, spacious, well-appointed room with a jacuzzi in the motel section by the water with a special including dinner and breakfast. Upon our arrival in the room we discovered a basket full of goodies (cookies, chocolates, chips,...) and a bottle of Ontario wine. A nice attention. The staff was very nice and attentive, and they took serious care in accommodating my wife's strict no sodium diet. We walked the well marked trails to discover this quaint town. The weather was very nice allowing for beautiful vistas. All in all an excellent experience which I hope to repeat in the near future.

My husband and I had pre-booked a one night stay at the Inn and since it was off season we got a very good rate that included breakfast. However upon arrival we learned we were in a room not at the Inn but in what they refer to as the motel - we were sceptical as it doesn't look like much from the outside. Inside made up for our concerns. They room was spacious, super clean, up to date and has a view of the water. It also has chairs and table outside on a small patio that would be great to enjoy during the warmer weather. There are nice touches such as a "repair" card and "housekeeping" card - the first allows you to identify if something is in need of repair and the second card offers you a choice of times to have your roomed cleaned. The room includes a coffee maker with coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cookies. On Thursday nights and Friday noons during the off season they have a $1.99 steak dinner - fun to try in the pub (however you can still get the regular menu). We reserved a table on the Thursday evening (hotel guests can do this) as the pub gets very crowded with line- ups. All in all a great one night stay.

Thank you for taking time to comment on you winter stay with us. Perhaps on a warmer return visit you can enjoy morning coffee in the chairs outside the waterfront rooms!

Graet little Inn on the water

Front desk staff very professional and helpful. Loved the homemade cookies at the front desk in the afternoon

Was disappointed that the main dining room was closed for winter. They should point that out when booking as we were looking forward to dining on the property. The other restaurant/pub, which is a little grungy in decor was open and because we didn't want to drive we had dinner there. It was OK but not what we anticipated with the main dining room

Buffet breakfast was again in the same restaurant, very dissapointing. Greasy bacon and undercooked, horrible looking sausage and unless you want waffles/pancakes ( which we don't like there was nothing else to choose from. Some tired looking melon and white or brown texas taost

Based on the supposed inn's reputation the dining was not at all up to par

Hopefully the'll read this review and adgust for future guests

We will not be back as there are so many other inns and guest houses to select from

We stayed in a very clean and spacious room (1King/garden/jacuzzi/fireplace/Annex).

It was very quiet and relaxing. We really enjoyed our time here.

The boat tours of 1000 islands are within (short) walking distance from the hotel.

Overall i would say that this is a place I will definitely visit again.
