We stayed for 2 nights in a main floor villa. The room was quite nice and very clean. The golf course was great and the pro shop staff very friendly. Tip - check golf now.com as there are cheaper tee times than when booking through the pro shop. Our only complaint - and it is a significant one - the restaurant staff are Extremely, extremely (did I say extremely) slow and a little incompetent. The food was great, but the service absolutely terrible. We ate at the restaurant 4 times and every time the service was. So slow it was almost laughable. We heard comments from other diners around us as well. There was just no sense of urgency. Otherwise, the stay was greAt.

This hotel is a wonderful idea with "villas" around the golf course and the exterior design has lasting style and a west coast vibe. The interiors however are very 80's and, although clean and well maintained, they are very old fashioned. For example, the bath tub in the room is plastic, fake marble as is the shower stall. The furniture would fit right in on an episode of Dynasty!! Set up like an apartment with a full kitchen. Disappointingly, the double sided fire place was turned off for the summer, presumably to save money?! This was on a cool rainy summer night when a romantic fire would have been perfect. Comfortable bed and very clean room. The management/owners should improve this and fully realize the potential of this place. Not really luxury but at luxury prices.

Front desk snotty. Wanted 2 credit cards at check in. Two adults with two boys at hockey tournament. We stayed in upper floor of the 3rd building. Functional spread. Slow moving toilets. I hate this at hotels. We had a catered dinner on second night. They were slow and ran out of food for the team. We had a team party at the main house by parking lot on one of the nights. This place is nothing special.

We stayed in their one-bedroom suit for two nights and enjoyed everything about it!

Pros
- Beautiful place, well kept, on the golf course, quiet, spacious.....
- The resort is in its own complex but only cross the street from Costco and a very nice shopping strip with all amenities.
- Friendly staff
- Wonderful room, fantastic bed
- Great wifi. The router is inside the room so you can expect good signal strength
- The pros go on and on....

Cons
- None.

We stayed here recently on a trip to the Island. Initially we were heading to the Parksville area but decided to stay here and travel around the island as Courtney is a great base to visit Parksville, Qualicum beach, Mount Washington, etc. So happy we picked this resort. All the staff were excellent from the front desk to the pro shop and the amazing restaurant. The patio is a great place to sit and enjoy a drink and their tasty Brie appetizer. The villa we had was a king suite right on the fairway. We watched deer come onto the greens each night. Full kitchen so we could prepare our own meals as well and we took advantage of the dishwasher for cleanup. Laundry was free. The suite was super clean and the bathroom shower was huge! The surrounding area has everything you would need from a Grocery store to Starbucks. Beautiful gardens and the resort is well taken care of. Would highly recommend this resort.
