“Great shopping experience”
Review of Baker Street

Baker Street
Ranked #3 of 13 things to do in Nelson
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 5 weeks ago

Baker Street is in the heart of downtown Nelson which has a very well deserved reputation for being a laid back city.
The shops along Baker Street are a wonderful eclectic collection of individual businesses with something to please for everyone. Wander along the street and browse to your hearts content in the really great clothes shops, house accessories emporium, sports shops (for all your skiing goods and accessories), shoe shops, weekly street market.. the list goes on and on.
Then there are the cafes which are dotted all along Baker Street and the side streets as well, which offer an amazing range of cuisines.

In short; if you're in the Kootenay's DON'T miss Nelson. It's a hidden gem in the mountains.

There is more to Nelson than Baker Street. But it is the heart of this delightful Kootenay's city. Lots of interesting shops, cafes, and not one international chain. The street was closed off for a custom car rally which was great fun...lots of vehicles from BC,
Albert and Washington state. Baker Street looks and feels as if it is right out of a movie set...but it is genuine.

Part of Nelson's charm comes from it's unique shops.
Many businesses are only in Nelson and are wonderful because they are one and only stores.

A great street to enjoy historic buildings with incredible stores and restaurants to ensure you don’t go hungry while buying cool stuff we don’t find at home.
