“A Wonderful Vacation Home!”

We were travelling as grandparents, parents and a three year old grand daughter as well as a miniature schnauzer. We were all delighted as soon as we entered the property. The home and yard were tastefully decorated and very well maintained. There was plenty to keep us all happily occupied both inside the 'nook' and in the very spacious yard when we weren't touring the island. Stacey and Lani were wonderful, welcoming hosts. We hope to come back soon!

Thank you for your lovely review! It's wonderful to hear that The Nook was a great spot for your whole family (including your dog). It's such a fantastic property for kids to safely play in while the adults can sit back and relax. We hope to see you back again soon.

“Very relaxing vacation”
Reviewed 17 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Stayed at the Painter's Nook with my wife and our four-year old son and this was one of our more relaxing vacations. There's lots of space in the backyard which was great for hide-and-seek and chasing my son around. There was also a bin of breakfast items in the fridge waiting for us, which we enjoyed. Best of all, the community park and the beach are only a few minutes away.

We're so glad you had a wonderful stay. We haven't tried hide-n-seek in the yard yet, but I think our 4 year old would LOVE that too - glad you were able to make such great use out of the space! We hope to see you back again soon.

I love The Painter's Nook. It is definitely not your "run of the mill" holiday home. It has a comfortable, homey feel that meets you at the door. Inside, the decor is charming and the rooms are accented with eclectic artwork and antique furniture creating a wonderful cosy atmosphere. The kitchen is basic but adequate. The Painter's Nook is close to all amenities including grocery stores, shopping, coffee shops, restaurants, walking trails and the beach. At the same time the yard is large and private belying the close proximity to town. Lani and Stacey provide a warm welcome and more important, fabulous service ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

My husband and I were delighted to be the first renters at the Nook. Not only is it a perfect cottage to die- stress from our busy city life but it has all the convience of home with so much charm! We spent days exploring the beach, and the estuary park. I liked that we could walk everywhere.
We spend our evenings cozied up by the fire with our books. It was an extra bonus being able to send my husband around the corner for early morning lattes at Starbucks which we enjoyed on the deck off our bedroom.
We will definitely return to the Painters Nook when we need some serious R&R.
