We didn't see eagles, salmons or seals at this time of the year... all gone! Too late but the river is beautiful...

Finally visited the area after years of driving by and was most impressed. Information boards along the dyke let one know all about the eagles in the area. A great place to sit back and watch these great birds - The bald eagle!
We stopped at the viewing location off Government Road on the off chance we would see some eagles... to our surprise and delight we saw 30+ bald eagles either on the river bank feeding on salmon carcasses or perched in the trees. What an incredible experience.
Went on a rainy day in November. Even still we saw 7 bald eagles in a very short time. Parked across from the bistro and walked to the viewing area. Nice covered shelter with very interesting info. It is a beautiful spot.
A much needed tranquil area to walk along the river, we didn't expect to see much wildlife but wow what a surprise. Sat by the river we saw salmon leaping, seals, Eagles and even a bear. There is a lovely place to eat which is friendly and not pricey, the locals are friendly and stop to chat. In Dec the place is known for all the Eagles so a good place to visit no matter when you go I think. We came back a few days to see the wildlife.
