A much needed tranquil area to walk along the river, we didn't expect to see much wildlife but wow what a surprise. Sat by the river we saw salmon leaping, seals, Eagles and even a bear. There is a lovely place to eat which is friendly and not pricey, the locals are friendly and stop to chat. In Dec the place is known for all the Eagles so a good place to visit no matter when you go I think. We came back a few days to see the wildlife.

Would have been better during the eagle run but this is still a gorgeous place for a peaceful walk. Will be going back in the late Fall to catch the eagles.

Bring a coffee or a bottle of wine and enjoy the beauty of Brackendale.
Aside from Eagles swooping for fish you may also see seals, otters, bears, deer...
Its one of my favorite walks.

I've been on this walk many times, in many seasons, and it's always a delight! There are many info signs to learn about eagles and the environment, there are usually eagles to be seen and the walk by the river is easy and lovely.
