It's too bad we didn't drive somewhere else. We each ordered a special martini, that should have been our first clue, it took forever to get us the martini and once we had them, it tasted like there was no alcohol, how is it possible to make a watered down $10 martini ?!
The prices were so high for the food, we ordered one salad and one pasta dish and shared, as it turned out that was a great idea, the portions were huge and was just so so taste. I'm giving it 2 stars for the portion size.
Apparently it's a local favorite as it was semi crowded with regulars, I'm not sure why...

We were thrilled to have a delicious meal only 2 min away from the hotel we were staying at. Pasta was excellent. French onion soup was good. Price was reasonable.

Travelled all day from the east coast. Stop for the night. Wanted a nice meal with a relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately the lodging we had for the night knew of no place close by. Then I noticed Casa Paolo right next door!!! The food was exquisite. The Penne alla Paolo I ordered, had favours that blended supremely for a taste sensation. My wife wants to go back just for the Caesar Salad. She drooled over her salmon dinner. After my meal I was pleasantly sasiated but not stuffed. The staff was sensational in their service above and beyond what was needed. I inquired about construction issues on the 401 and our server got us a map detailing the construction and the best way to avoid it. The facility was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. This place is my most outstanding memory of Cornwall.

we planned to stop in Brockville at our favorite restaurant but the kitchen was closed due to a malfunctioning range hood. we knew from experience we would not find a decent restaurant until we reached Cornwall.
so we checked TripAdvisor for the reviews of the local Cornwall restaurants in and around town. one of the highest rated was Casa Paolo. it lived up to its rating. we are from Montreal so we are used to excellent cuisine. we were pleasantly surprised. I had the veal parmasean. the veal was tender and not overly breaded the pasta was not over cooked and sauce was not pasty.
my husband's chicken dinner was equally delicious. staff were very very nice considering we arrived at 930 at night.

The hotel we were staying at recommended this as a good place to eat. They were wrong, they should have said excellent. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Hot food was served on hot plates - which I consider a must for pasta dishes. Even my wife who normally isn't a big pasta fan said that the lasagna was the best she had ever had. My veal cannelloni was perfect and the sauce had fantastic flavour. As they say on a TV show -- 'you got to eat here'
