Stayed here while attending a wedding at Llangoed Hall down the road, this B&B is less than 5 minutes drive from the Hall so is in an excellent location if you are looking for somewhere nearby.

We stayed in the upstairs room which had a large en-suite bathroom. The room was spacious, it had a double and single in the room so good for families. The bed was comfortable enough but not the softest mattress. We got a good night's sleep as the road outside does quieten down a lot at night.

The breakfast was good and plenty of options for yoghurt, toast, cereal etc plus a good welsh fry up.

One thing that would make a difference would be a nice set of new towels as they were a bit crunchy and the shower pressure is not so great.

Overall a nice B&B for a short stay, lovely owners and great location for Llangoed Hall and Brecon. I would stay again.

Thank you for a fantastic weekend. We really enjoyed our stay in your B&B. It was great staying in your annex that had our own private entrance. It made it feel like our own little pad with the luxury of not having to cook our own breakfast !

Room was clean, breakfast was excellent and included cereals, croissants as well as a full Welsh breakfast made with local produce.

There is also a cafe attached to the B&B that offers great food at very reasonable prices and I've been told that the Coffee alone is well worth the visit. Even though I wouldn't touch the stuff myself, so I had to make do with the local cider which I would highly recommend. The cafe also has a real log fire where you can sit and relax reading the local papers whilst enjoying your cider or coffee.

There is also a great pub over the road that also has great log fires and serves real ales and great food so not too far to stumble back to your room. If you fancy a slightly longer walk (5 mins), the other pub in the village does a huge selection of curries.

If you don't know the area at all, just spend 10 minutes with Martin who will be only too happy to point you in the right direction as he knows the area like the back of his hand and will also help you find some of the less touristy sights.

Many thanks to Martin and Sue for helping us to have a brilliant weekend. We will definately be visiting again and will recommend to friends.

We stayed at the Wye Knot Stop so that we could be close to a friend's wedding. Directions had been provided from a number of starting out points including London and Cardiff, so no difficulty finding the B&B. Llyswen is quite a small village, so if travelling here ask the bus driver to let you know when you get to the Griffin Inn... it's across the road!
From the minute we arrived we felt welcomed and comfortable. Sue and Martin were wonderful hosts who had some great advice on local walks etc.
The room was spacious and well equipped, and in my opinion was very good value for money. One of the coldest nights of last year, and we were nice and warm with no noise at all from the road.
We look forward to our next trip!

My first stay at The Wye Knot Stop (but not the last). This is not part of Wales I am familiar with but on arrival in front of a real fire in the restaurant Martin and Sue soon gave me details of local places of interest accessable at this time of year. Super food, relaxed atmosphere - can't wait to return.

Two of us stayed at the Wye Knot Stop Cafe for a few days walking and were made very welcome by Martin & Sue, We found the rooms very comfortable and the B&B good value. Staying in a cafe is a bonus when you come back from a long walk and the Griffin across the road served some excellent food. The croissants at breakfast were particularly good. Brian & John
