2 families spent a great week at Bryn Bach.
Beautiful spacious house with great facilities, close enough to Aberystwyth to enjoy the beach in the beautiful weather but far enough to be quiet and relaxing.
Great welcome pack, and nice touch of a phone call to ensure we arrived safely.
Plenty of room for us all and the kids loved the surroundings, games room and play equipment.
Arrived just as the final blast of winter descended, couldn't have wished for anywhere better to stay. Plenty of parking, lovely and warm and spacious. Ideal for the labrador and cocker with plenty of outside space to explore and the little one loved the games room and swing and slide (when winter relented!). Walks from the door with wildlife a plenty. Highlight was the nearby daily feeding of red kites, 100+ on the day we visited. Red kites also regular visitors over house and walk along old railway line (from house). Plenty of walks and attractions nearby and hope to return next year in warmer weather to enjoy the coastline. Certainly amongst the best cottages we have stayed at, couldn't fault the house or location.
So, we're still here whilst I'm writing this review and I've had a few glasses of prosecco whilst relaxing in the hot tub.........the place on the outside looks ok, but please do not be mislead by that! Whoever decorated can come and design my house anytime!!! The attention to detail is amazing!!! And the only thing better is the owners!!!!p
This is a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom place to remember!!!! Lovely fixtures amazing fittings, 50 metres from a lake, what more could you ask for?
On a serious note, the place is fantastic. It's quiet, beautifully presented, and the owners are incredibly helpful!! So, it may not be a first choice, angellsey, but if you want a lovely, relaxing, soothing break....you couldn't ask for much more!!
Bryn Bach was perfect for our big family get-together with 4 adult couples and two infants (one in the provided travel cot in one of the double bedrooms on first floor with Mum and Dad in en-suite next door, the other in the games room on top floor at opposite side of house, with his Mum and Dad just across the landing - they couldn't hear each other cry out!). There was even a baby bath, high chair and timed night light provided (although we found that the high chair was possibly for older kids than our eldest at 15 months who tended to slump backwards in it, not that she cared!). It was also super handy to have a washing machine and clothes horse and rotary washing line and pegs in garden, although a tumble dryer would have been even handier. We also made great use of the drawer full of plastic children's plates, bowls and tumblers, and provided cling film for the kids and for storing leftovers. The kids loved being taken to see the sheep in the field behind and to the side of the house.
Plenty of space on driveway, excellent swing/slide/climbing frame, and a BBQ, outside table and chairs and comfy seating to enjoy on the huge decking at the back. House interior was also beautifully decorated, with an intriguing and unusual stairwell, and superbly appointed with hand soap and hand towels in each toilet/bathroom, and everything we needed in the kitchen, and even a baby grand behind the stairs - shame none of us could play! The cooks were a little irritated by the relatively large amount of kitchen worktop taken up by the induction hob which shouldn't be used to put things on, and the table tennis player in the family was put out by not having more space around the table to be able to "play properly", but these were minor grumbles. We loved it and were very sad to leave.
