Our team was in Lake Tahoe in July for a basketball tournament. Instead of renting our individual hotel rooms, the team decided to rent this house.
PROS: The owner, Mike, was so accessible before, during, and after our trip. He was easily reached and managed to return calls either immediately or shortly after. Mike ensured that we were able to check in earlier so that we can get settled as well as check out later on our last day. Conor from Tripadisor was very helpful in facilititating our refund after our departure. Despite all the housing issues we dealt with, the location was fantastic. The gym was less than 3 mins away and we were able to go back and forth in between games. Best of all, we didn't have to eat out. We had phenomenal parents who went back and forth in between games to prepare good/healthy meals. The players also got to go back and forth to chill in between games. The neighborhood was convienced with many stores, shops, gas stations, and anything in between. The house was in a great location.
The pics looks nice but the house itself is a little outdated. Some renovations were done but still need some work done. We had to restrict the use jn one of the bathroom's upstairs (one of the sinks was leaking and the toilet clogged upon the first use). Some of the beds need to be replaced due to wear and tear. The sofa beds in the living room were not usable. Either the springs were broken or the mattresses were torn and exposed. The bathroom downstairs closest to the kitchen had a slight problem but one of the parents was able to bandaged the situation which turned the bathroom usable for the duration.
Despite some of the house problems, our overall positive experience outweighed the isses arised. The problems were always dealt with at hand and having Mike be responsive made the problems tolerable.
I would recommend this house but make sure you speak with Mike about some of the problems mentioned.
