This was a last minute stopover on our road trip through Bavaria. Quiet village atmosphere with not a lot of competition. Rooms were spacious, some with little balconies. Tiny tvs and really small bathrooms but nice beds.
Restaurant downstairs served generous local fare and they were open late which was good for us.
Nothing fancy here but efficient and quaint. A good meal and a good nights sleep.

we had our car Serviced at the local Opel dealer, and during this time we went for a coffee and Snack to this Landhotel zum Metzgerwirt. It was nice, clean, and the coffee was good. The Apfelstrudel was in good Quality and tasty, but nothing we could not live without.

Clean, friendly, family run hotel. Delicious restaurant - open late. Hotel is accepting of late arrivals with notice! Stay here to visit Oberammergau, Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau because Landhotel zum Metzgerwirt and Bad Bayersoin offer a charming, close-by, and off-the-beaten-path stay!

Our stay in this hotel turned out to be the only sore point in our 14 day pilgrimage from Poland to Switzerland. The staff was very, very rude. Although they have been notified way in advance of our departure time, they refused to serve us breakfast early enough so we can make it to our bus. On top of that, the shower drains were all clogged - and they charged us extra for cleaning! This place is old with no amenities. It should not be called a hotel. It is only a makeshift bed and breakfast.
