“Stunning location with uninterrupted view of Cader Idris”

Rural location with stunning mountain views. Cabin was clean, warm and fully equipped. Electricity, bedding and towels included in rental fee. Lovely outside area, secure garden area, nearby walk to lake through woodland. Decking and porch area was a bonus with outside table for alfresco dining and comfortable chairs to relax. Owners on hand (but not at all intrusive) with help and local information. Dolgellau has some great walks and plenty to do if you enjoy outside activities. Close to Barmouth on the coast. Will definitely return for another stay.

“quiet location with local shops”
Reviewed 24 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

Good basic accomodation in quiet location. A car is a must to get around. Owners sorted two minor problems quickly with no fuss. Read vistors book for things to see and do, the owners could make local walks etc a little clearer as we found our own walks with no information in chalet. Would recommend Snowdon from Peny-pass but it is over an hour drive and the car park was full by 9am and it was cold and snowy, so in the summer it would have to be a really early start. The local hotel featured in the places to eat is good food at reasonable prices, would recommend at least one visit.
Only critisum was lack of plates, mugs etc, made it necessary to wash up regularly, given the dishwasher meant it would need to be run twice a day if you ate there all the time. The double bed was soft which is a personal preference, but to soft for us.
Would recommend this holiday for good value break in great location with great views.

Just returned from a 2 night stay in this gorgeous idyllic chalet. It really is one of the most special places we have been. Eluned & Lowri are very welcoming and genuine people who could not do enough to help but really did not intrude at all. They have a lovely lab and charming ducks and chickens that roam freely. They were a delight to watch. The chalet contains everything you can think of, you will not need for anything. It is warm and cosy with views to die for. It is breathtaking from every angle. Today we went to the prespice walk approx 3 miles into Dolleglau which again was stunning especially as the weather was amazing! Thank you so much to Eluned and Lowri and sorry we missed you today, we did knock to say thanks but you must have been busy. Many thanks for sharing your little piece of heaven with us!!! Love Peter & Linda x
