We went on a very busy Saturday night and dined early but it was already packed. Things got off to a shaky start when it became clear no-one had a clue about any of the wines offered on their menu. That hurdle overcome we ordered our meals and settled in to enjoy ourselves. The entrees came out for our party of six over a very long 20 minutes, and we had to ask where the last one was and it still took another 5 mins to appear. The food was lovely but the service left a lot to be desired. Our mains suddenly appeared while some of us were still eating our entrees, and chaos ensued, with staff trying to clear entrees and deliver mains while the last diners tried to hurry along with eating their entrees. Once again the food was delicious but the meal had already been a bit spoilt by the service. The lovely service staff tried their best but were clearly ambushed by a kitchen which failed to cope. The whole time takeaway orders streamed past which could explain a lot of things. I think this place has to decide what it wants to be and then make sure it can deliver on all fronts.
