We stayed with friends in several of the apartments for 3 weeks. It was perfect. I can't say enough good things about Lilia and Guido. They welcome you like family and will do anything for you. I wanted a small town atmosphere with easy access to Cinque Terre and the surrounding areas. This place was perfect. We will be going back in the next couple of years. You will love this place. I didn't feel comfortable driving a car so Lilia brought us to the train station once a day so we could explore other cities. It was wonderful. There are many hiking trails right from the property or trails between towns. After 3 weeks we didn't want to leave. Thanks Lilia and Guido for all you did to make our stay so memorable...

“Perfect! Just book it!”
Reviewed 23 July 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Our family stayed in the upstairs apartment (separate loft for teens!) for a week. It was possibly the most relaxing, wonderful holiday we've had. Lilia, from the moment we booked - even before, as we were trying to decide - was like a travel agent and sister, as well. She was incredibly responsive, full of suggestions for our holiday, and even had suggestions for other places we could stay en route.

The place was perfect. Quiet, beautiful views, and impeccably clean. We woke to the sound of birds and church bells every morning. And in the evening, if we wanted to eat 'at home', Lilia would make something to be ready for us to eat upon our return. This could be accompanied by wine that Lilia, Guido, and Giulia had made themselves, and would be made with olive oil and organic vegetables that were also from their property. They learned that we would be with them for our daughter's 14th birthday, and showed up with a beautiful chocolate cake as a gift for her. It is a wonder they have any time to sleep!

But nothing was too much trouble for them. We didn't have a car, so someone would take us down to the train every morning, and pick us up in the afternoon/evening (you'll need a cell phone if you don't have a car). The train station was only about 10 minutes away, and from there it was just minutes by train into the Cinque Terre villages. We were thrilled with our decision to stay away from the fray -- we had all the benefits of proximity to the towns (restaurants, walking paths, scenery), with the added benefit of staying in a countryside village. We absolutely couldn't have chosen a better place to stay, and are already trying to determine when we can return -- possibly booking out the WHOLE place with friends and family!

From Framura, we were extremely well located, and managed to visit Genoa and Portofino (Lilia gave us a lift there!), as well as all the 5 villages of Cinque Terre (more than once!). We were absolutely thrilled with our decision to stay with Guido, Lilia, and Giulia in Framura, and are looking forward to returning in the future.

Liked best: hosts, view, quiet
Liked least: depending on hosts for rides to/from station. They were extremely responsive, but I would have liked the freedom of a car
