A great pub full of character. Modern bedroom warm and very clean with crisp white bedding which afforded a great nights sleep. Don't be put off by the main road. Lovely array of coffee, teas and bottled water in the room. Breakfast and evening meal had a great gluten free menu without compromise, and a gluten free bottled beer, Wadsworth 6X Gold was very crisp. Staff were all very accommodating and a pub that on my travels will surely return to.

Excellent accommodation, all spotlessly clean. Our room was spacious, with plenty of hanging & drawer space & 2 chairs. The tea making facility offered a choice of teas & coffees, plus a sachet of ground coffee & a small cafetiere - a nice touch. En-suite was similarly roomy & had a selection of toiletries, plus a bottle of water. Add to all that, friendly and efficient staff, a wide variety of food on offer at breakfast & an extensive dinner menu.
The inn is on the A435 between Cirencester & Cheltenham but the only time we noticed any traffic noise was early morning (around 7- 7.30am) as our room faced the road. However, it did not disturb us unduly.
On this particular trip we stayed at 2 different hotels & this one was definitely the better of the 2.

A very efficient and friendly staff - Excellent food - Great value for money. Look nowhere else.
We had been visiting a friend in Newbury and were looking for somewhere to stay for the night to break our journey home. Colesbourne was everything that I had remembered of it from my previous visit. Keep it up.

We were on our honeymoon and I had the pleasure of choosing what hotels we wanted to stay at during our trip. The location is off the road to Gloucester and was a perfect spot off the main road. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We ate at the Inn for dinner and it was a high-end well executed meal by a talented chef. We had the Sunday Roast specials and were pleased with our choices. My husband was overjoyed with the local beer and spent a few hours at the bar our second night there enjoying pints with the locals. It was a very charming place to stay and I would highly recommend staying here if you want a establishment close to Bath, Malmesbury, or Gloucester.

Room tip: front rooms are near the main road

This was the most recent of many visits to the Colesbourne Inn which maintains its high standards of food, drink and accommodation. The staff are pleasant, efficient but not intrusive. Very convenient for Cheltenham, Gloucester and Cirencester and also for the Westonbirt Arboretum, Bourton on the Water, Birdlip and the Rococo Gardens at Painswick. Not too far from Slimbridge, Cleeve Hill, Broadway and the Forest of Dean.
