What a little gem this is, so glad our friends introduced us to it. The B&B was previously a railway station, it has been very tastefully decorated, and also quirky in the living areas. We stayed in one of the larger bedrooms which has a sitting area as well as a walk in wardrobe, the bed is extremely comfortable. The noise from the railway was not bad really and we had the added bonus of the Flying Scotsman passing this morning. Lovely welcoming from Shiela and Bob, breakfast was amazing, great choice of drinks from the honesty bar. Had a great time there.

Room Tip: The two larger rooms are great good views of wildlife. The back bedrooms have views of the track.

We stayed for a weekend. What a wonderful place in a truly majestic location. The breakfast was what you would struggle to get at a top end hotel. Our only negative was no phone signal and poor wifi. If you like all things railway, you will love this place.

Room Tip: Wensleydale room for best railway views

We stayed at Tudor House for 3 nights. Although it is right next to a railway line (the B&B is housed in the old station building) there is never a problem with noise as the trains are infrequent and very quiet. Sheila and Bob are perfect hosts, friendly and helpful with an extensive knowledge of the area, restaurants etc., Our room was very comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities, and a beautifully equipped bathroom with a large walk-in shower. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with most of the ingredients sourced locally. I would happily recommend Tudor Lodge to anyone looking for a really comfortable, well run and friendly B & B.

Ok let's be honest Tudor House IS next to an active railway line - It shows this on the web site. Mind at home we are under the flight path for RAF Wittering You get used to the traffic!
The house is the old railways station and has much railway memorabilia.
Our reception was warm and very friendly, The room was large as was the bathroom.
The bed, equally large, was probably the most comfortable bed I have slept on for years.
Apparently trains go by during the night but I nor my wife heard them.
The breakfast is potentially vast! and very well cooked. Most enjoyable.
Much to do in the area, The owners are more then ready to offer advice on where to drink, eat or visit.
We ate in Skipton La Caveau very good meal at a reasonable price.
Enjoyed our stay and we will return.

Room Tip: They have a dog friendly room if you ask.

Stayed here for a week at the end of June 2017, and couldn't fault it. Spacious airy room with comfortable seating area, very comfortable bed. Bathroom a good size with excellent walk in shower. Jan and Pete made us very welcome and provided us with a good choice of breakfasts. Highly recommended and would definitely like to return. Don't be put off by the proximity of the railway. Trains are infrequent. Stop early evening and don't restart until after 06-00. They never bothered us.

David and Paul

Room Tip: Corner suites are well worth the extra cost.
