Our family of four, two adults (mid-50s) and two twenty-something children, stayed here at the end of December. The apartment was perfect. The living room is large, enabling us four to each haveample space to curl up on a couch to read together at the end of the night. The kitchen is adequately stocked with all the basics and even included waters and a very nice bottle of celebratory wine. We enjoyed eating breakfast around the table and planning out our days. The quite large bedroom and separate bath upstairs gave our boys their own "away" space and each had their own pulll-out couch/queen beds. Given the abundance of beds, and spacious rooms, this apartment would perfect for a family with more children, or even for grandparents in the downstairs bedroom/bath suite and parents with children sharing the upstairs. The apartment was immaculately clean, looks very recently rennovated, and Francesco, the owner, was very nice. The apartment is on the top floor (with fun rooftop views), and requires walking up three flights of stairs, but this should not be an issue for anyone reasonbly healty. Although I was initially worried that the apartment was "too far away", the location was never a problem.Venice is so small, it takes only 5-10 minutes to walk to St. Mark's and we walked absolutely everywhere during our stay. Rather, it was great to retreat to a quiet neighborhood and comfortable apartment at night after spending time in crowds all day. Of the three apartments we rented during our Italy vacation, this one was our favorite by far.
