Honestly, it was literally like just walking around a scruffy farm and scarp yard (piles of old furniture, old wood, old fridges, even manky boxings bags lying around!), trying to find a few pound shop halloween decorations, using a map that only someone who has no orienteering skills could have made. No sign posts and a few dead ends (others were just as confused as us and so wasnt just me being crap) there was no kind of flow to it at all. I didnt even know where the tea room and shop was, wad much smallet than expected. When we went in we asked if we could have a kids menu and what was on for the kids for halloween and he said we had to ask at the desk and would bring us a menu. Then forgot about us. So we asked for another menu from someone else and she got it for us.
Took so long for someone to take our order my husband asked if we could order at the till, they said no, and were too busy to apparently tell us about the halloween treasure hunt too. we had someone take half our order and then walk off and be in a huff when we asked to order the kids at the same time.
The food was pretty mediocre (kids shared a plate of chicken goujons and chips, no side veg offered and husband had ham, egg and chips). Mine was terrible and tasteless (a veggie pie which wad just chunks of potato in pastry). The only decent staff member was a blonde girl who actually was decent and polite.

But overall a pretty expensive and stressful time was had. Not to mention the huge amount of cars and motorbikes coming from all directions and around corners and the boggy areas around the edges of the lakes, so wasn't exactly somewhere I would want to let the kids run free.

The room its self is pretty small and crowded, claustrophobic feeling. Wasn't even offered a high chair for my youngest who sat on my lap. There wouldn't have been space anyway!
Just a bit of a let down as been meaning to go for ages and heard it was a great family place. Our expections were too high!

We used Limne's Farm as caterers for our wedding (90 guests). They're neither cheap nor a rip off but the quality of the food, the organisation, communication and service were brilliant. We had so many comments from guests. Would use again for small or large functions.

On a Thursday morning our group of 16 senior bikers called here for a break in our journey,we all went up stairs in the shop/café.Our drinks order was taken-the coffee was excellent. Some our people even had a cake ;of which there was a good selection.
There is a good size carpark, the staff on duty were very helpful to our needs.
We have been a few times now ,and will come again.

I visited for a mid morning drink and snack on a Saturday. The staff were friendly, there was a good selection of tray bakes, but not many cakes, and they were fairly expensive.

Well worth a visit if you're in the area. The homemade cakes are delicious, the staff very friendly and besides the lovely food and drinks there are other great items to purchase including a great selection of cards. It's ideal for children as they too can enjoy the animals.
