We stayed for four nights for my 60th birthday in April. It was just perfect. the weather was a little cool but still managed to have breakfast in the wonderful garden twice.
We loved the rooms , very simple but with everything you could want. The two person rooms are suites and have a lovely sitting area with good views and very comfortable.
One of the great points is that they only have a few rooms and many of them are singles at the same price as for each person in the junior suites. Nice place to stay on your own as well as with a partner.
The gardens are absolutely beautiful and so peaceful, well designed with some lovely flowers which are used with great effect on the tables. I really appreciated the lovely fresh flowers from the garden being used throughout the locanda.
The cocktails were very good, we enjoyed the Negroni especially.
The staff were superb , very helpful and experienced. the food was very good, not an extensive menu but all well cooked with fresh ingredients. Everything tasted delicious, there are some dishes which are special to the Locanda and they were delicious the baked pasta dish with ham and cheese was superb as were all the fish dishes.
All in all a truly memorable stay. Just in case we forget we are going back again next June. A truly special place!

On the island of Torcello in the Venetian lagoon you will find the Locanda Cipriani. It's been there for ever - Earnest Hemingway used to spend time there. The restaurant serves classic Venetian cuisine at a very high level, and while it is not inexpensive, it continues to provide a truly memorable dining experience. The 50 euro menu of three courses (no wine) offered some interesting choices and good value. Potato gnocchi with crab, roasted sea bass in a sauce of courgettes, veal medallions in a sauce of basil and herbs. And don't pass on the Bellini - fresh white peach juice and prosecco - invented and perfected here. Not easy to get here. You can take the vaporetto (water bus) in about 1 hour. But splurge and take the motoscafo (taxi) and enjoy the tour of the islands in the lagoon from the back seat of a Venetian speed boat.

Amazingly Beautiful Setting! Food was equally as good. Started with the Caprese..so fresh! My pasta with Shrimp and Zucchini was to die for! My husband had the Ink Squid Pasta with Cuttlefish and enjoyed his as well. Would definitely return!

What a complete surprise when shown to our table in the lovely gardens as the facade of the building is so unprepossessing.
Excellent food with a good local wine list as well as the usual suspects!
Charming staff, a complete treat for a special occasion or just to treat oneself!.

From the moment you enter the premises, there is courtesy and professionalism
at its best. It was a sunny day in early April, perfect weather to sit in the garden
overlooking at the amazing Basilica di Torcello (a must visit)
We ordered the risotto Torcelloana and the gnocchi of the day which were absolutely
divine. Our waiter agreed that a Friulano would pair well with both..
This unforgettable experience did not exceed one hundred euros!
