“great lodge, but unsuitable for wheelchairs”
Reviewed 3 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

lovely lodge with everything you could need, would recommend to anyone except wheelchair users, or anyone with elderly dogs who struggled with the steps down onto the garden, and occasionaly wandered dangerously close to the edge of the decking area, which is unfenced and has a steep drop to the garden ( young children beware ) and wheelchairs can't access the beautiful garden, except by going back through the lodge and out the front door, which was a bit of an assault course with the amount of furniture and things in the way.

“Great lodge for a great weekend Away.”
Reviewed 20 September 2014 for a stay in May 2014

I and my family have stayed at this lodge twice now and it keeps getting better each time. The garden itself is extremely beautiful. The new outside decking which overlooks the lakes makes it great when watching the water sports as well as enjoying a good BBQ and relaxing on the loungers. The lodge itself is very clean, tidy and cosy, a real ‘home to home’ feel. It’s also well equipped with everything you need to stay for a short break. Emma herself has been fantastic she is friendly and very helpful. She really does now how to treat her guest’s. (Thank you from all of us). We have had some amazing times spent here and we will carry on using this lodge every time we visit Tattershall Lake.

“What a wonderful weekend”

From the moment you open the door to Grey Heron lodge you know you've stumbled on a rare gem, this amazing lodge really will be the highlight of any stay. We stayed for a weekend in September and would not hesitate to return, the lodge is decorated with warmth and character and everything from the surprise afternoon tea to the endless search for 'Dundee' (you'll get what I mean) makes this place special. The large enclosed garden area is beautifully finished with everything you could wish for, and is just perfect for a lazy breakfast watching the water skiing or a glass of wine watching the bats come out for their twilight show, and if your lucky you might see a Lancaster (or two).

“Home from home”
Reviewed 3 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Just spent 3 nights at Grey Heron. The lodge is clean, extremely cosy and very well equipped with everything you will need. The large enclosed garden overlooking the lake is beautiful and very well set up for eating outside or just relaxing on the loungers. Great views of the planes from RAF Coningsby. Even though we were only there for 3n, having the washing machine in the lodge was a real bonus. The welcome afternoon tea was a very nice touch on arrival. We booked at the last minute and Emma couldn't have been more helpful.
